Although there were many different factors affecting the application, John reassured us with his calming professionalism. His knowledge and experience in this field was very apparent as the application was submitted efficiently and with no errors. We employed JPL Design and Construct for a ground floor extension which included initial meet, survey, multiple drawings (several revisions), planning permission and building regulations. We contacted John mid way through 2013 to discuss our plans for a single storey extension of our home. He arrived to discuss with us in a mere few days prior to our first contact, and he was very clear about all his procedures and costs from the outset. He was very professional with us and acted very promptly throughout all of the stages of this project. This was our first extension of any kind and he was very forgiving with us, and patient at times, regarding regulations and processes. We contacted John in May 2013 to discuss drawing up some design plans for a new single storey extension at the rear of our property. He explained that he was also able to act as an agent on our behalf when dealing with building regulations approval which proved to be an incredibly easy way to manage the process. He came to visit us to take measurements very quickly after our initial enquiry and provided advice and support in reviewing various options. We were really impressed at how helpful John was in answering our questions and how quickly he responded. The whole process from end to end was really smooth and took a lot of the hassle away from us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend John's services to anyone else looking to do this type of work.

John Peterson was commissioned to design a two story side and single story rear extension to my 3 bed Manchester semi to create a 4 bed, 2 bathroom house with an extended kitchen, large dining room and utility. From the start John was very prompt, producing draft drawings based on our initial discussions that over a period of time evolved into planning drawings and then onto building reg drawings. John was very responsive to queries and suggestions - sometimes agreeing and sometimes advising against (always with good reason). No query took longer than 24 hours to get a response but invariably it would take only 1 or 2 hours. Typically I would email in the mid-evening, by the time I had got up a response was waiting. John's contacts were excellent. At no time was there a delay in commissioning an engineer or getting a response from a builder. I was very impressed by Johns relationship with the planning dept'- he is obviously a trusted and tactful contact and this helped secure approval enormously. My project started with JPL in the Autumn 2012 by April 2013 builders were on site and the work has progressed very smoothly. We have just had a very large extension designed and planned by John. He is always very pleasant and helpful. He has dealt with all our emails very quickly and he is extremely professional. He has high standards and great expertise. As we had lots of questions with it being large project he came to visit us at home for a second time to explain everything and discuss all our queries. Throughout the whole process I was kept fully informed of any problems and progress of the application. Having engaged John to draw up plans for our double story side extension including submitting to planning and building control package, On the initial visit John quickly understood our requirements and undertook a full dimension survey of the existing house, Throughout the process John completed drawings on time and was happy to carry out ammendments to the drawings when required, The detail and quality of the plans was of a very good standard, Throughout the process John communicated exceptionaly well and always responded to emails within the same day, upon submission of the plans for both planning and building regs they were approved first time. It is with the above in mind that I would have no hesitation to recomend JPL Design and construct to others.

The work carried out was for a large loft conversion that required quite an amount of negotiation with the local planning department and several iterations of the design to maximise the available space. This was done quickly and efficiently.
