They were friendly and took me in when I was looking for a last minute haircut months before the pandemic. I explained i'd already had a great haircut 3 months before (which I paid £300 for) that I loved but I just needed a trim. I showed pictures of it previously incase it helped, I tried to explain it was straight but had barely there layers at the ends for some shape. I thought I was gonna have a dynamic conversation with him like I did with my previous hairdresser who was fully booked, but he found it annoying and kept saying he had 20years of experience so I kept quiet after that. After he was done cutting my hair he used the hairdryer in the highest heat setting and used a round brush for all of my head, he kept it on the highest heat in one position for several minutes and pulled my hair so hard I was biting my tongue so as not to make a noise. The hairdryer was so painful but I was afraid to speak up because of his attitude to me. I don't know why he did this, I can't understand why he thought that that was a trim. Maybe it was late and he was tired, maybe he wanted to go home rather than stay, but I never pressured the appointment, I asked if they were open they said yes, I said I can see other shops are closed if you want to go home i'm happy to come tomorrow but they accepted me. My hair was straight at the ends with a small amount of layering so it wasn't dead harsh and now it's like I got a diy angled haircut. Honestly my mum has given me better with 0 experience. I was sorry for taking their time and I was hoping they would be nicer to me and so I stupidly tipped such a waste of £80. I didn't know until I got home cos it was wavy and my family laughed at how bad it was. Looking in the mirror I could see my scalp was read and if I pressed certain area some fluid came out because of the burns. Luckily it wasn't too bad, within a week my scalp was better. I always braid my hair after washing now to hide the fact the front is two inches longer than the rest. If I need a last minute hairdresser i'll go to those £30 ones in Twickenham and Whitton highstreet or Toni and Guy if i'm limited by area. .Moreexpand_more
Having just moved to the area and desperately searching for a new hairdressers I came across Joseph’s and after reading the reviews I booked in for a color and restyle. The salon is very modern and the staff are absolutely wonderful. Very accommodating as I changed my appointment a few times. Came for a consultation and was happy to have my color and cut done. First time I’ve had the color I’ve always wanted and the cut is great, whether I style it or not! Blow dry was Hollywood worthy! Now coming for a weekly blow dry. Highly recommend this place.
I had a very bad experience with Josephs. It was not initially their fault as the hairdresser was sick for my appointment but they had an appt arranged for me at the st margarets branch. I did not mind and drove over there. They were pleasant and accommodating of my arrival. The hair cut seemed good. I was not offered any compensation for the inconvenience nor that it was taken I had my own transport to get me there. They charged me the full £58 for a wash, cut and blow dry - no compensation/discount was offered for the inconvenience. I am disappointed that this has occurred and am sorry to not return due to this experience as Adam at Twickenham I felt had done a great job of my colour and cut in the past. Sorry to say goodbye but my experience was not a welcome one. In addition to this tthe haircut given at st. Margarets was so terrible and my hair out of line that I subsequently had to pay to get it corrected no more than 4 weeks later !I am sorry for this poor review as Josephs have been great up until this incident.Moreexpand_more
I've been going to Josephs for a few months now for a blow dry with Michelle, rami and Joseph. They do a great blow dry on my diffcult curly hair and I am always pleased with the results. Whenever I am in the country visiting my son Joseph is my next stop. Unfortunately my only issue is with the receptionist Charlotte, she can be very rude which is the only let down to the salon and there amazing stylists. Several times she has been less than accommodating to me and I have had to ask a friend to book in for me as I find her intimating. And on several occasions she has short changed me and I have felt too embrasesed to ask for my change back. I have also emailed and written into Michelle and Joseph but unfortately have had no reply. Like I said amazing stylists but the receptionist is a far cry from perfect.
Love Josephs! The staff are amazing. Always make sure I'm pleased with my hair. Always running on time and great customer service! I recommend Josephs highly and great prices too! Iv been to all the stylist at Josephs and they all do a great job. Need a hair dressers this is the place. And they do a great cuppa ? .
I had a keratin treatment. My hair is falling out and the texture is as if it had been bleached. They use the cheapest product on earth that damages your hair beyond anyone's belief. Avoid at all cost. I have emailed the salon directly too, nobody contacted me. All lies. Brazilian Keratin Blowdry product for Groupon voucher customers is the cheapest version of Global Keratin and Nanokeratin. This has also been confirmed by the hairdresser.
I had a colour and cut - first and last time I will be going to Joseph's. Had to return the next day to have the over dark highlights toned down but even more critical to have the bob straightened so I was not lopsided. First complaint by me to a hairdresser in 50 years! Their response a free bottle of shampoo!
