Great teacher, I’ve asked John to teach me some punk sings from the late 70s, he does loads of research into how the songs should be played and teaches me in a very patient and well structured way. Cheers John ! ? .

Been brilliant going back to See John for Tutoring. I was losing momentum with my playing and since going back to lessons, Ive been really enjoying the guitar again. He gives simple but brilliant tips to make my playing sound 10 times better than it did. I would totally recommend his lessons for any standard of player.

I have been having lessons with John for about two months after years of trying to teach myself. He is very experienced, knowledgeable, and patient and a fantastic guitarist. We share the same tastes in music so everything is explained and shown thoroughly. He has been like a breath of fresh air on my journey and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I've been having guitar lessons with John now for a few months and I'd highly recommend him. I’m Ashton I’m 10 years old and I have lessons every week. I love my lessons I have learnt so much I can read music I know my cords and I have learnt to play several songs by my favourite band the Beatles. John is the best teacher I’ve ever had he makes learning fun and I look forward to every lesson.

Got in touch with john as I felt I could no longer try to teach myself and was in a rut after a couple of weeks lessons with him I was actually beginning to learn again. my eyes and ears were starting to pick up on all sorts of melodies and patterns plus a lot of music theory all of which I was struggling with I always come away from each lesson armed with a bit more knowledge and confidence no question is to silly or embarrassing to ask as john will always take the time to make sure you have understood all that he is trying teach you he will put you at ease in a comfortable surrounding and sometimes his jokes are funny to.

John was teaching my son guitar from scratch for one summer and he made a great progress. I've seen the lessons and all I can say is that John has an individual approach to every student and he really knows how to get kids interested and excited about music. Unfortunately we cannot use John's services anymore due to moving home, but a friend of ours has been learning guitar with John for some years and is also extremely happy.

John is an Amazing Guitarist, Wonderful Guitar Instructor and a Great Person, I have been having Guitar lessons for the last 7 years and I have become friends and look forward to my lessons every week and I Highly Recommend Anyone from young too old having lessons he will teach you anything and also has a wide range of music for all to learn and it was the best thing I ever did. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her guitar lessons with John. He gave her confidence to try something new and built up a good relationship with her. He was very reasonably priced compared to other music teachers so offered excellent value for money. He was professional yet friendly.

Firstly, this guy is brilliant. The transition from guitar dreamer to actually doing it, is often the hardest part. John makes this a doddle. His easy going style, knowledge of all types of guitar, styles and genres plus his experience from playing in various bands, will give you confidence in what you're paying for. He teaches you in an encouraging way, with plenty of patience and you never feel like you're making mistakes (you will, I assure you but it doesn't matter). John glides through his tuition, and as you get more proficient, he will throw in a few unexpected 'jams' where you both play live together, and that's where you learn most. Loved my time there and I'm sure you will too.

I started lessons with John nearly 2 years ago and was very nervous at first but John put me at ease the moment we met. John is extremely patient and if I’m finding anything difficult he will suggest an easier way for me. John has a vast knowledge of music and his guitar playing is exceptional. I cannot praise him highly enough. We quickly established that we like the same music and an added bonus is his magical, wicked sense of humour. My son had guitar lessons with John for almost a year. John was very patient and motivating towards my son. Unfortunately my son didn’t have the passion for it and gave up however within the year he learned great skills and can still play some songs on the guitar. I highly recommend him and am hoping my daughter will want to learn when she’s a bit older! He is the best.

John is an excellent guitar teacher. He is knowledgeable, professional, helpful and friendly.
