John did a couple of photoshoots for Aspire, photographing a range of beneficiaries and staff for our new Social Impact Report. He was extremely kind to give his time and expertise to the charity. The images that he has produced are very strong and positive and will literally transform the way we communicate about our work.

John photographed our small wedding ceremony in Oxford. He took photos during the service, and afterwards we had a dedicated hour to hour and a half of posed shots around our College's grounds. Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, we had no reception after. John came highly recommended by others in College, including our Chaplain - and we understand why. He scouted the venue with us the day before and noted potential shots, which did not only give us confidence in how seriously he would take the engagement but also made things less stressful on the day. He was very open to requests for particular shots as well. John knows what he is doing, has an eye for detail and lighting, and will produce impressive shots. It is also worth noting that he was punctual, as well as relaxed around things running over a little, which made the whole shoot more relaxed. After the day, John supplied a highlight gallery very quickly and followed up with the rest of the shots a while later. On our special request, he also provided a small selection of photos in high quality only a few days after the wedding as we needed them for an announcement. John recently took some charming black and white portraits near a remote spot in Oxfordshire countryside which he found. I was delighted with the outcome.

John has worked at corporate events and weddings hosted at the Bodleian Libraries on many occasions. His photos are always excellent and capture the event and the rooms wonderfully. John is a pleasure to work with, and very accommodating. He gets a wide range of great photos.

We commissioned John to take photos of staff and volunteers for our Annual Report, obviously they were posed shots rather than in action but you could not tell that from the images which really convey the ethos and essence of what we do. John was great at quickly putting people at ease, the team liked him - would certainly use again.

John is a fantastic photographer and did a brilliant job photographing our wedding this past July in Oxford. We met up a few days before to ensure timings worked and we explained some shots we hoped to get. John was attentive and sensible, writing down where we'd go and how much time it would take so it could fit into the evenings' plans without an issue. On the day, John was on the ball in so many ways. He moved around the church effortlessly during the service, and the organised photos after were done quickly and efficiently. When we went off for our photos, John knew where we would go and didn't waste any time along the way, ensuring we got great shots and that we stuck to the schedule. We mentioned we wanted to try and get some photos while punting, and he happily agreed. A photographer who can punt and take brilliant photos is talented! Timings were perfect, and even later in the evening when we went out for some more photos, it took 20 minutes and was very effortless. Our guests later mentioned that he was so subtle and quiet with taking photos during the day, most didn't even notice the shots being taken. We've received the photos and we couldn't be happy with how it went on the day and the photos we now have. John did more than we have expected to make our wedding perfect and truly special. And the photos he took were spectacular! Totally exceeded our already high expectations! And we are not biased! Picking the right photographer for your wedding is a big decision and we were so thrilled to have John photograph ours. He came highly recommended and exceeded our already very high expectations. Not only did he produce really fantastic photos that captured the spirt of the day perfectly, but he also took the time to meet with us twice before the big day and to visit the venue in advance to scout out good photo opportunities. On the day itself he was really unobtrusive and blended in so well to capture the emotion of the day. We had all the photos back within a fortnight of the wedding which was also brilliant. We have spent most evenings since looking at them!

John produced the most fantastic photos of our wedding day! It was definitely one of our best decisions when planning our wedding to book him. He has produced a great mixture of stunning posed shots of the two of us and then countless brilliant informal photos of our friends and family during the day. He is such a nice guy to be around which makes the experience of having your posed shots so much more enjoyable. Something which was important to my Dad was that he was wearing a suit (simple, I know! ) which meant he blended in with the rest of the wedding party so a lot of the time you didn't even realise he was there. I would highly recommend him!

We felt in very safe hands with John as our wedding photographer. We had already seen some of his work, but none the less both we and our families were taken aback by the amazing quality (and quantity) of the photos. His manner around our guests was completely discreet and unobtrusive (but he still managed to take fantastic close-ups), and he was also very efficient with group and couple shots.

John went above and beyond all we had hoped for our wedding photography. His manner was calm, efficient and professional throughout the day which helped everything to run like clockwork. The images themselves were exquisite; he captured our intimate moments perfectly as well as the atmosphere of celebration. Nothing escaped his attention.
