I was slightly worried by a couple of negative reviews but I'm so glad I ordered anyway! I was so gutted when bare minerals discontinued their pretty amazing lipsticks as they are the only ones that stay on for hours. So I was thrilled to find them online for less than the rrp. I ordered two and they were dispatched the same day and arrived two days later, considering the delivery was free this was amazing! Then when I opened the parcel it was stuffed full of samples. I don't know if they read my mind or not but two of the samples were for products I've been meaning to try for ages and the other was a concealer pallet which is so good I'm now going to buy! I noramlly buy my beauty products at john Lewis because they give such good service but this company are even better.
Have used John and Ginger on many occasions with good service and reliability but unfortunately they have fallen short on my latest order of OPI nail repair which has failed to arrive, money deducted from my account with no order after nearly 3 weeks or any communication from them first. Have sent 2 emails and telephoned with a promise it was being resent 7 days ago. Get the feeling it may not ever turn up. Very disappointing.

I was a little unsure of using this website after reading some of the reviews but I had nothing to worry about! I placed my order on Sunday evening and it has arrived this morning. 2 day delivery time for free delivery is almost unheard of! Brilliant value for money - almost £10 of the RRP. Will definitely be using again. Thanks for the brilliant service!
I ordered a product from them om the 3rd of January and even though the money was taken out of my account straight away. I am still waiting for it to arrive. I rang after approximately a fortnight when nothing appeared. To be told that as they don't store card details that is why the money is taken immediately. When I made the order it was stated that the product would take 3-5 working days to arrive. It was only after I made contact with them when I was given any explanation. I was told that they had had a problem with their suppliers and it would be dispatched to me arriving with me by the end of this week. ( it has not arrived. ) I have spoken to them again today and was told the same story. I can see with in these reviews that the same thing has happened to several people. From my experience so far and knowledge of others experiences and am not hopeful at all for a good resolution. They have £17.00 of mine and I have nothing to show for it except frustration and no product.27th January - I have now received the product I ordered. ( ordered 3rd January arrived 25th January ) After another two phone calls "John" rang me back to explain in detail what had gone wrong. He explained that they had had great difficulty with there suppliers and had to source the product from another company. He also said that after my ealier review they had left me two messages on Free index and had called my home several times. This is correct. But as they had not left any messages on my answer machine I had no idea who they were. I am of course now happy that I have the product I ordered. I was grateful that as soon as J&G had the product that they made efforts to contact me and to send it special delivery etc. "John" said he would add in quite a few beauty samples as a sorry for the delay and there were a few in the box. Having said all that their communication and organisationary skills are very substandard. "John" has assured me that he has taken this on board and will make improvements. As an advisory note to anyone using J&G what they have on there web site is not necessary what they have in there Salon that day. They seem to make every effort to source a product when a customer asks for it ( well actually hands over there money and awaits it ) Customer service wise. You need to be very pro active. Placed an order with John and Ginger last week and the money was taken from my account that same day, but a week later and I have not received the items. I contacted customer service about this and they called me back to explain that the money is taken when the order is placed because they do not store card details for security reasons. They were also let down by their supplier which in turn, affected my order and that is why there was a delay. I got a full apology and was refunded the money with the offer to ship the items as soon as they had been received from their supplier. I think people just need to understand how the business operates as the products available are value for money and cheaper than the high street. Now that I understand their process I will use John and Ginger again in the future. Thank you John and Ginger.
Decleor Aromessence Sculpt Firming Body Concentrate. Placed order 28th November 2011. 8th December 2011 product still not arrived. E-mailed John & Ginger over 24hrs ago, with no response. Phoned the only available number, naturally you can't actually speak to anyone so left a message with my phone number 4hrs ago, so far nothing ! Peter SmithColchester.
I ordered a nail polish from John and Ginger on the morning of 9th of November. It has only been sent out today, 17th of November. I purchased from J & G because the colour I ordered was not yet available at my usual supplier. In the time I've waited for dispatch, the colour has become available and is cheaper! I've contacted them of course, but haven't received an apology. I won't be using them again as this is a very long time to wait for a nail varnish if you are a nail varnish addict like me.
I recently purchased and was charged for an aromatherapy associates shampoo. After ten days, the product still hadn't arrived and I had to contact John & Ginger to find out why. I was surprised to be told it had been discontinued, and that they had not contacted me to tell me this. I am even more surprised that ten days later - three weeks after my original order, I still haven't received the refund I was promised. Extremely disappointing: I like to support smaller businesses but I won't be using this site again, there are better and more reliable options.
I have to say I usually don't have time for things like this, but I was so impressed with John and Ginger's service and delivery that I had to mention it. They sell top branded beauty products, Dermalogica, OPI, St Tropez, Fake Bake,Essie, Bare Minerals etc. I found the product £10 cheaper than the shops and my product arrived within 24 hours. I only placed my order late yesterday afternoon and never in a million years expected to find it on my desk today! Are they superheroes or what? How can an order arrive so quickly? Has never happened before ever! From the moment I placed my order the communication was great, even letting me know when my order had been dispatched. I just wish more websites could take a leaf out of their book.The Service was awesome and I will defo be using this site forever.Moreexpand_more
