Jim Sharples created the most beautiful bed for me in cherry wood. He was professional and courteous, listened to my design ideas and incorporated them into the final design. I'm really happy with the bed - it's lovely to have something handmade for me from a great local maker.

We were looking for an individual, bespoke piece of furniture and were impressed by items of Jim's work displayed on a website. We contacted Jim and discussed our requirements with him and, satisfied that he could meet our requirements, we asked him to build the piece of furniture. Throughout the construction process, Jim kept us fully updated on progress. On completion, Jim personally delivered the furniture and undertook the final construction on site. Inspecting Jim's work at this stage it was obvious it was all we had hoped; it is a beautiful piece of furniture and Jim's standard of work is exceptionally high; the wood selection was especially well considered. Considering the difficulties of purchasing any hand crafted work via photographs on a web-page and by telephone and e-mail correspondence, Jim did us proud. I would have no hesitation, whatsoever, in recommending Jim to any potential customer.

I ordered a coffee table from Jim Sharples Furniture because I wanted it to be totally unique. I had seen his website and I liked the style. I had ideas about what I wanted in a coffee table and Jim was able to design the perfect table for me. I am thrilled with the finished piece! His service exceeded my expectations and I am very pleased with his workmanship.

Jim has been a huge help in making my house a home. Currently he has done work in my kitchen, bathroom, dining room, living room and study, and i imagine will help me further and the other rooms are renovated.
