About Jewellery By Silvana
I design and handcraft quirky and animal sterling silver and copper jewellery, often incorporating brass, glass, pewter and gemstones. I also upcycle old pre-decimal bronze coins as well as old biscuit tins, by hand piercing shapes out of them (NOT laser cutting) and making them into jewellery and keyrings.
I am a member of the Guild of Jewellery Designers.
I handcraft my own designs, most of them are one-offs. I work from my studio at home in Lancashire, which isn't open to the public, but I do visit craft fairs throughout the North West, especially during the Christmas season. I also exhibit in galleries and shops across England and sell online through The British Craft House, Folksy, Instagram and Facebook - but UK only.
Though the basic material of my business is sterling silver (I never use silver plate) I use a range of other materials to enhance designs materials and techniques. The latest huge increases in silver prices has made me experiment in other metals and techniques even more than I did before, however, the chains, ear wires, connections and fasteners will still be sterling silver.
I aim to despatch any items sold via the internet within 3 days, using the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service - UK only.
