We recently used Jane’s consultancy service as part of our ongoing house renovation. Having bought a ‘total doer upper’ we’re trying to keep a tight reign on costs but, at the same time, it’s our forever home so want to invest in ‘getting it right’. For us the most daunting thing, once we’d nailed the structural changes, was how to marry the blend of old (the house is Victorian) and modern (kitchen etc) and the colour schemes for the various rooms. I was keen for the rooms to have a flow but I also don’t want everything painted in the same neutral shade. Jane has taken the time to gain a good understanding of our needs (we have a toddler) and personal tastes as well as advising on how to incorporate our existing pieces of furniture and artwork (where appropriate). Jane’s advice has been invaluable on choosing the various elements from paint colours, to tiles and floor coverings. We’re still only part way through but we’re so please with our now ‘finished’ rooms and we’ve already received lots of compliments from family and friends on ‘our’ choices. We’re looking forward to working with Jane on the remaining rooms and finishing our project so we can really enjoy our new home.

Jane and I are currently working on a renovation/restoration in the new town area of Edinburgh. Jane has been amazing to work alongside with the planning off each room to make sure it’s PERFECT in every way for the client. Jane’s attention to detail is outstanding and can bring a dull room to life with colour.

We bought our house in Glasgow 18 months ago, thinking we would redecorate room by room, and on getting the keys realised it needed a lot more work – a total refurbishment along with building an extension. This was pretty daunting and trying to visualise the finished job wasn’t easy – and that’s when Jane got involved. She was so good at helping us decide on options tabled by the architect – the use of space, planning a new kitchen, using natural light to best effect, and then later with choice of colours for the decorating work. She really listened to what we wanted and considered our existing furniture, paintings etc when making suggestions for paint colours and curtain fabrics. We moved in 4 months ago and are so pleased with the house – Jane’s help and assistance was first class. .

Jane managed to totally transform my Georgian flat. Her talent, enthusiasm and patience contributed to a very pleasant, open and productive dynamic that produced amazing results way beyond what I expected. Easy 5 stars and thank you Jane!

I'm a professional painter and decorator of 35 years, I worked with Jane last winter on one of her first interior design projects. In all my working years, I haven't worked with a better designer than Jane. The entire project ran effortlessly from start to finish, and the end results were astonishingly good. Jane is such a professional and a joy to work with.

Jane designed a lounge and hallway for me. A great result! She took the time to listen to what I liked in terms of colour and design and then put together a plan which built in those elements, but also introduced some new colours and features that she suggested. Knowing that she had a plan to tie it all together gave me the confidence to try these new ideas. The result was a modern and sophisticated look, but one which also took into account that it was an older building.
