We were reasonably happy with our painted oak doors in our kitchen until we saw the beautiful finish on Jamie’s sprayed doors. We enquired about the possibility of having our doors repainted and Jamie was happy to undertake the job. The doors, drawer fronts, end panels etc, in all 31 items were collected from us and returned within the week, very professionally wrapped and protected. The service from Ollie and Ben was first class, friendly and very professional Everything has now been refitted and looks fantastic, new ceiling lights installed and a new floor almost completed. We are very, very pleased with newly renovated kitchen.

Having been approached by a number of national retailers we were extremely lucky to come across Jamie who remodelled two bedrooms with a fantastic suite of fitted wardrobes. Jamie and his team are very hardworking, dedicated professionals who also provide value for money. The transformation resulted in two gorgeous rooms which words cannot describe - the pictures and end result speak for themselves! We will definitely use Jamie for any future work that we may require, and will definitely recommend him to others.

We contacted Jamie because we were impressed by his website. We wanted him to build shelves and cupboards in an alcove in our sitting room. From the start he listened carefully to what we wanted and offered various ideas as to materials and designs which made choosing very easy. Jamie was fantastic. He was always very patient with us and listened to our ideas (no matter how barking mad! ) when first designing our kitchen layout. After researching bespoke carpenters in the area, we decided to engage Jamie's services in making our ideal fitted bedroom wardrobes, and shelves/cupboards for our sitting room alcoves. This was certainly going to be tough as our lovely old cottage has wonky walls and floors, and Jamie rose to the challenge. We got a sense straight away that he really was a craftsman - his dovetail joints are an indication of this. He listened carefully to what we wanted, and has delivered stylish and well made items that are going to be long term features in our home. Jamie built two bespoke cabinets and one 5 door wardrobe for us. His consideration of our request was professionally executed and his professionalism was always paramount. After moving into our house it became apparent that 12 years of being rented out had left the staircase looking rather tired. Stripping the layers of white gloss revealed timber that I'd not bother using to light a fire with and we decided that new spindles and handrails were required. Jamie was contracted to install the oak handrails and satinwood sprayed spindles. The oak looks great and the spindles equally so. However, the thing that impressed me most was the attention to detail. The accuracy of the spacers and the quality of the joints is up there at "fag paper" level. To say we're delighted isn't doing the quality of Jamies work justice and I'd re-engage him in a heartbeat for our next carpentry job.

Jamie recently fitted some bespoke cabinets/shelving in the alcoves of our dining room. To say we are over the moon with the finished results is an undestatement! The quality of the carpentry is second to none and the value for money is unbeatable for the quality delivered. Jamie was always an absolute pleasue to speak to and was very patient through the whole process, as we were not always sure what we wanted! What really set Jamie apart was his attention to detail and a few thoughtful touches which really blew us away. After completion we realised that we got our book sizes wrong, so Jamie came back to move the shelves around so that they all fitted perfectly. Jamie did a great job on two bespoke fitted wardrobes in our bedroom, a tv cabinet and some wooden steps in our living room. We're really pleased with the results: Great quality finish and a high level of workmanship. Jamie took a lot of time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, and checking things were done to our satisfaction. I'd highly recommend him.

Jamie recently fitted a bespoke kitchen for me which he made himself, he project managed everything, always communicated well and promptly with me and I am delighted with my beautiful new kitchen. The quality of the wood and the craftsmanship are excellent.

Jamie recently fitted 9 solid oak veneered doors in our house, including all door furniture and locks, and I found him to be very professional, courteous, prompt, and very clean and tidy – he left the house immaculate each day, and despite some of the old frames being very difficult to work with all of the doors were hung perfectly and the frames look perfect too, with all adjustments needed to them made good. Jamie clearly takes great pride in his work and cares about his customers, and his top quality craftsmanship comes at a very reasonable price too, with no unexpected extras following his initial quote, which was significantly better than two other quotes I obtained. I cannot recommend Jamie highly enough.

Wanted a bespoke bookshelf/cabinet built next to my fireplace. I chose Jamie after seeing work he'd done previously for a friend, backed up by a good quote and an unrivalled level of enthusiasm to give me what I wanted. Despite there not being a square angle in my quircky home, Jamie provided an exquisitely finished product which now takes pride of place in the corner of my livingroom. Nice work Jamie!

I recently asked Jamie to come round and build some custom-made wardrobes for my bedroom and built-in cupboards for my living room. I live in a Regency apartment so it was important for me that they were built to a high standard and looked the part - but at the same time I had to do it to a budget! Jamie was extremely professional from start to finish. He advised me on the best features to include in the cupboards and helped me to create the exact vision I had for them (including an area for a flat screen tv to be mounted all the way to open shelves alongside the wardrobe to store t-shirts/jeans). In total Jamie built four units for me and they all look incredible and extremely expensive! I get so many comments about them when people come round. I would absolutely recommend Jamie for his carpentry. Not just because of the exceptionally high standard of his work but also his friendly, professional manner and also his care to respect your budget and stick to it.

I had two new wardrobe doors (one double, one single) fitted, a new tall kitchen cupboard and new under-stairs storage with door built and fitted. Jamie also offered to paint everything but this was unnecessary. With good communication throughout the few days work and exceptional workmanship at the end, Jamie Knight Carpentry is a company I will highly recommend to others.
