We booked James for our wedding after a poor experience with our initial photographer of who we had a bad feeling about and cancelled him. James was exactly the opposite, kind, funny and made us feel completely at ease. On our wedding day James was superb, professional and relaxed. All our guests had nothing but positive comments about him. In terms of quality of the photos I feel we definitely got value for money, really really pleased. Thank you, Antony. And Jayde.

We found James after a huge trawl on the internet and were impressed by a number of things. He was always quick to email responses to any queries we had, his portfolio of pictures was stunning and not too formulaic and his enthusiasm for what he does coupled with his down-to-earth and friendly manner made us feel really confident that we'd chosen the right person. His pricing was really reasonable for what was included and we loved the fact that he drip fed us the odd photo in advance of completing the full set.

We recently had a great little people shoot with James and our two year old, Harry. James travelled to us so we could have the shoot out and about in our local countryside and keep Harry in familiar surroundings. James' friendly and relaxed approach immediately put us (and more importantly Harry! ) at ease which resulted in some fantastic images, our only problem has been trying to narrow down which ones to frame! We have had a couple of professional shoots before which we have been pleased with but the pictures James has produced really capture Harry and his cheeky personality and all our friends and family have commented on both the quality and how natural they are. Overall we could not be happier and would not hesitate to recommend James for a little people shoot!

When we met James we liked him instantly, he was the only photographer we met with and we booked him there and then. James was so professional on the day but it also felt like we had a friend at our wedding rather than a photographer. We love the modern images he has produced and we look forward to ordering an album. I have also used him for corporate photography at work and again he was professional and efficient. I feel privileged at the fact that my wedding was the first Asian wedding James had photographed. His portfolio is amazing and has such a friendly and natural personality where he is able to get along with anyone and everyone. James was not phased by the change in culture and was able to capture some very special moments. I am able to relive my wedding through my pictures and feel every emotion I felt on the day all over again. That's thanks to James and all the hard work and effort he put into creating something so special for me, my husband and our families. I would just like to say a massive thank you to James Tracey for capturing our special day in the most spectacular way. We are over the moon with the results. When looking through the photographs we thought we had found our favorites but would then find another photo that we we’re like “No, now I like this one the best”. James was recommended to us by a work friend of mine and after meeting him for the first time we decided we didn't need to look any further. He has a likeable personality and puts you at ease even though getting your picture taken isn't the most comfortable thing in the world. He captured our wedding day perfectly from start to finish and we now have some beautiful photos. He doesn't just take normal photos he is very creative and modern, which is what we wanted. James was great throughout the whole process and I would definately recommend him.

James offers an extremely thorough and professional service and I would not hesitate in recommending him. The photographs he took of our big day are amazing and we’ve had so many compliments about how creative and striking they are- so much more impressive than the more traditional “posed” wedding shots. When I was planning our wedding the one thing that I spent more time researching was the photographer. That was the hardist decision to commit to but upon meeting with james it was an instant decision my husband an I made, we was very happy with what we had seen with his previous work and he really did understand what we wanted he was booked. Our wedding photos are fantastic thanks to James.

We asked James to take some photos of our 9 week old son Toby. We wanted natural photos that captured Toby and us as a family. James was really friendly and made the shoot very easy, just taking photos as we played with Toby and we soon forgot he was there. The resulting photos were gorgeous and exactly what we'd hoped for. We decided to have James as our photographer for our wedding at Manchester Art Gallery after seeing some of the great work he has already done. He has a great eye for composition and he caught the essence of the day perfectly with a mix of colour and black and white pictures. He made both of us feel completely at ease throughout the day. He admitted himself that the low light of the venue would push his cameras ability to the max, however we were delighted with the outcome and would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone thinking of employing him. After our second son was born we wanted to have some professional photo's taken and seeing as it was nearly Christmas we thought we would make it festive. We found James on google and after talking on the phone we found him to be very enthusiastic and helpful. On the day of the shoot he made the boys right at home and soon had them smiling and giggling, he even found time to make my wife and I a brew! The results were amazing and as we had the digital copies of the photos we were free to do what we wanted with them. We were over the moon with the service James provided and would highly recommend him to anyone.

We used James Tracey as a photographer at our office Hollywood themed Christmas party in December 2012. He was brilliant. His photos were fantastic quality and were very creative and he was extremely friendly. He made sure that the photos captured the theme of the event well. We would recommend him to anyone.

I booked James Tracey to take some photographs of my 10 month old son. James came to our house to take the pictures and he as captured some amazing moments. The photographs are truly amazing and choosing between them has been impossible. I can't recommend James highly enough.

I booked James to take photographs of my three children aged 9,7 and 4 at Hardcastle Craggs in Halifax, as a Christmas present for my husband. Despite the challenging under foot woodland terrain, James made the experience fun for the kids and within 10 minutes we were all chatting like friends, making for some excellent photographs. I can't wait to be able to share all the photographs with my husband on Christmas day. I know he will love them as much as I do. It was fabulous to be able to have natural photos of the children in a beautiful location, which captured a moment in time that will last forever. When setting up my new business James Tracey Photography captured all of my promotional shots for my marketing material and my website. It was so important that the essence of the brand was captured accurately and I was absolutely thrilled with the results. James listened to my ideas and asked to be thoroughly briefed about the company and exactly what we did and what we hoped to achieve in the future prior to the shoot. He came up with valuable suggestions and artistically directed the shoot impeccably, the results far outweighed my expectations. This was a tricky shoot involving a one year old and capturing her tiny toes skipping around to encapsulate the nature of my pre-school dance company. James was extremely patient and a perfectionist on the day. I was quickly provided with numerous shots including duplicates with effects added to make the appearance of the pictures 'dream like'. We had James Tracey photograph our wedding, which was also on BBC3's Don't Tell The Bride. This was the world cup of weddings; we needed someone who could capture all the best moments while ALSO working around a BBC film Crew. James Tracey knocked it out of the park.
