James Hollin Fine Art Paintings and Prints

A few months ago, we bought an oil painting of a bridge over a river in Gweek. We knew Jim as a neighbour but when we viewed his exhibition held at the Old King's Head in Long Buckby, we were astonished. Years ago, we holidayed at Gweek and this little painting brought it all back. I felt that I should know this stretch of river and its bridge and house; he has the gift of painting as if he knows every leaf. I love the colours he uses and wonderful skies. Even if it is just a print or two, I hope to buy a building next time as his depiction of architectural details is mesmerising. Thank you Jim.

Having met Jim and seen his work I asked him to do a painting of our home for my husbands birthday. He is a pleasure to deal with, keeping me updated and showing and asking for my input at various stages so any changes I wanted could be made. The end result is perfect and my other half was thrilled. Thank you Jim I have a feeling we will be back! Would definitely recommend.

I commissioned an oil painting from Jim of a family farm as a birthday present. Jim did a brilliant job, thinking about all the small details that brings a farm to life. I was really pleased with the painting, it was a brilliant representation of the farm. The recipient loves the painting too. Jim kept me fully up to date with his progress along the way.

Owning and displaying work of James Hollin, allows me to write that he possesses a natural talent, in portraying whatever subject he chooses, to an exceedingly high standard. His depiction of many of Northampton landmarks, will surely rate him, among some of the best County painters.

I used to work for a firm of Solicitors in Northampton who had some of James Hollin's work in their reception area which I thought was reallly good. I managed to contact James and asked if he would consider painting a portrait of my dog as I wanted this as a gift for my husband's birthday. I found James to be very friendly and straight away I booked an appointment. He came round to my house and took several photographs of my dog and, within a reasonable amount of time, he produced a fantastic portrait of him. James managed to capture my dog perfectly, the colour and detail better than I expected. My husband was thrilled with his present. I would highly recommend this artist!
