J Deacon Building and Roofing

Massive extension, double storey side and back extension…. Not going into detail as a lot to detail wrong doings…All I would say honestly to people is what I know now of this dodgy builder is I would have never got him to work on my property. He, John seems like a nice guy at the beginning, but only cares about the next job that's round the corner, forgetting about you. I have leaks, and damp issues but he still keeps ignoring my texts/calls. It could be a racial thing, I don't know, so I have to go to a alternative route.

J deacon has just finished converting a pitched roof into a balcony at our house in Thornton, leics and putting in French doors. A clean job, they turned up when they said they would, fair price, experienced and professional. Thanks, it looks great. Would recommend. T and J Clarke.

Right from the planning/quoting stage of the large project of re-structuring and extensions to our house John was in tune and sympathetic to what we were wanting to achieve, offering good advice and ideas. Throughout the project John and his team were very hard working, conscientious and courteous. As we are both in full time work John project managed most of the job for us, liasing with the local authorities where necessary. Would not hesitate in recommending J Deacon Building and Roofing!

I first came across John about 7 years ago when both of our companies were working on the same site, although initially not directly with each other. As things turned out I employed John and his team to carry out some building works. I was so impressed with his attitude and quality of work that I invited John and his team to carry out the building works on our Chelsea Flower Show exhibit the following year in 2008. A big undertaking for any builder as the pressure is immense due to the short window of time allowed. I have since used John at Chelsea every year (5 years)and he is the first name that I put on the list of contractors that I use. No other builder is considered. Incidentally, in the 5 years I have used John we have won an award every year, 3 certificates for excellance of presentation and 2 Sundries Awards in 2011 and 2012 (highest award presented to a sundries stand). I find John and his team are easy to work with, nothing is too much trouble and any problem can and is overcome without any fuss. John's attitude and attention to detail is exemplary. My only complaint is that he lives too far away from our base as most of our building works are in the South of England although he will and does travel.Moreexpand_more
