We have used ISHE Ian on more than one occassion and within our Family we always found him very helpful, prompt and decent price. Putting new boilers in, dealing with radiators and pipework. All done to a very good standard. No problem in recommending them.

Ian performed a Landlords Gas safety check at our property in Bristol. My experience of Ian wasn't great when trying to arrange a time for the check. When we eventually did agree a time of 'Monday morning' he was unable to provide a more accurate time. I asked in two separate emails for a more specific time but neither were answered. I stayed at home all Monday morning until 1pm then had to leave for work. I received a very confused call at 3pm from my tenant explaining that Ian had arrived. He performed the check on our gas appliances satisfactorily. However, he was also supposed to provide quotes on two separate issues which he seemed confused by despite the fact it was clearly stated in our email correspondence. He did provide these but by this point his lack of professionalism had shown. This review seems incongruous to the others I see on here so surprising but our experience was poor and we will not use Ian for the other issues we need resolving.Moreexpand_more

Ian fit us in quickly when we had no hot water or heating. The service was great and the price reasonable. Would highly recommend!

Ian carried out a Landlords Gas Safety Check on my house in Portishead. He turned up on time, was friendly, competent and reliable. He offered some ongoing advice and useful recommendations. Usefully, for me, he was able to email me the certificates and invoice and I could pay online. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Ian was friendly, true to his word and very generous with his advice and his time. A problem with a rental flat hot water system was quickly responded to and Ian gave reassurance for future help should issues arise again. I shall definitely be using him again, for my own home next time; a pleasure to do business with him.

I found ISHE on the bristolpound. Org directory. Great to be able to pay a plumber in £Bs first off (he even excepts txt2pay sms payments). But twice now he has solved my boiler problems with advice over the phone and so still yet to spend a thing. The last time the boiler packed up my partner was in labour! Ian described the part I needed and told me where I could find it. My baby girl was born in the birthing pool full of warm water. Thanks Ian! Ciaran.

Ian power flushed my heating system, installed a magnetic unit to clean it, part of a new shower system and a bath panel. He and his colleague worked quickly, efficiently and conscientiously - patiently explaining what he was doing, giving me advice and even finding a solution to problems that saved me money. No mess was left - cloths and protective plastic sheeting were put down and rubbish was taken away. He was very pleasant and helpful and I am very happy with the work done. I would not hesitate in recommending him to others.

So I booked Ian as my first referral. He was punctual, cheerful and very efficient, even taking photos of the parts we couldn't see. Oh, when you need a good plumber! Invariably from previous experiences you can't find one. Well, we have. When our boiler packed up we rang Ian and he was with us within a couple of hours, considering he has to travel 45mins to get to us this was over and above the call of duty. If you want a good plumber, professional, understanding and extremely helpful then you need look no further, give him a call, as we did, and you will also sample his first class service.

When the ancient boiler died the day we moved in, Ian was on hand with help and advise the same day. We had a new boiler fitted - the job was done promptly, efficiently and at the agreed price.

We have had a new Boiler and Radiators installed by ISHE. They did an excellent job, prompt and tidy and a decent price to boot as well. Good advice on how to get the best benefit for warmth and cost for our House. Happy Days.

Ian responded to the request for quote promptly, suggesting that the most accurate assessment would be via a site visit. He arrived at the arranged time and was very reasonable with his assessment and very helpful with suggestions that saved me ALOT of money. Highly recommended.

For 8 years Ian Smith has provided me with landlord safety certificates. The call centre staff are always friendly and professional and the service is prompt and always carried out to a high standard.

Fantastic! 12 months ago both our toilets stopped working. Two plumbers failed and gave up before I contacted Ian who fixed them both. Prompt service and reliable. Since then our hot water has stopped working on several occasions and Ian has kindly given excellent advice over the phone. He would not accept any payment for this and saved us some money! Huge thanks - highly recommended.

We had a tricky problem but Ian saw to it personally that the job was done properly and fixed quickley. Essentaily their was a slight leak but where others had failed to find or fix the problem Ian succeeded.

I had a boiler and a couple of radiators fitted in 2010. I found Ian very professional and explained everything very well. The work was completed within good timescales and Ian kept me informed at all times. The price wasn't the cheapest we were quoted but I think you often get what you pay for. The boiler works really well and we wouldn't hesitate to use Ian again.
