Instinctive Horse Training

I can't recommend Melanie enough ! She had my shire yearling filly for one month and now she is ready to go into the show ring will happily self load on to my wagon and has a very happy confident attitude to life thanks Melanie and the girls.

Mel sold me a mare who I had many years of fun with. Whenever I had any issues with her I could call her at any point for advice.

This horse expert really knows her stuff and her understanding of the behaviour and training needs of animals is a joy to watch.

Melanie helped me with my boy Rocky, he was an ex racehorse lovely nature but needed a bit of rehabilitation to calm him. The service, support and knowledge I achieved from Melanie was outstanding not only Rocky changed but I understood him more and Melanie helped with this too. I still visit the livery yard now and then and watch the amazing challenges Melanie faces. It's fantastic to watch and gains confidence for not only the horse but the Owner aswel! I would always 100% recommend this service to anyone with a horse even if it's a small issue you have Melanie is always there! Like I've always said when your in the horsey world everyone Needs a Melanie Watson!

Where to start! After a first contact via email and telephone conversation, we were very reassured that our equines issues would be readdressed. We had a totally miserable year with a pony that was holding us to ransom on occasions when being led from the ground and also bolting and bucking. He spent 2 1/2 wks with Melanie and hand on heart can truly say it was such a positive journey in retraining our boy. We have come away with more knowledge and courage to know how to handle him in a positive way. Thank you Melanie and all of your lovely team at Skidby:)) if u have a equine with issues or youngsters that need breaking or a day in Melanie's yard learning her technique's don't give it a second thought!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Melanie. In March I left my horse with her for 2 weeks to iron out a lot of issues including a back problem which Melanie instictively found straight away. He was a changed horse on my return. I couldnt thank her enough. I was so impressed with Melanie and her team I have just returned from a 4 day bespoke course learning about ground training, lunge techniques, increasing concentration levels of my horse. I can honestly say it was fabulous. Harvey and I enjoyed every minute. I highly recomend Instinctive Horse Training to anyone with any riding, training or behaviour issues.
