Ian Arthur Photography

I never write bad reviews however I feel compelled to write this to provide cautionary information that I wish I knew before working with Ian Arthur. I was blown away by how unprofessional this man is. We booked him to photograph an Awards Ceremony for military veterans in Glasgow. Ian turned up 40 minutes late, when the event guests he was supposed to be photographing on entry had already arrived. If that wasn’t bad enough, he had in fact arrived 40 minutes late to the wrong venue. The correct venue could not have been made clearer in our communications with him. The worst was still to come. While at the wrong venue, he was still only 10 minutes down the road and could get to the correct venue quickly to photograph the rest of the event. Instead, he decided to pull out from the event entirely while shouting profanities down the phone. His language and attitude was foul. We were left without a photographer for an event which is supposed to be an incredibly special night for Scottish military veterans. In all my years working in events I’ve never come across anybody even nearly as unprofessional as Ian Arthur and I warn anybody to consider very carefully before deciding to work with him.Moreexpand_more

I have use Ian�s work a number of times over the years and he is not only a total professional, but quite simply one of the finest photographers working today. His work on weddings, portraits and commercial projects is second to none and the finished standard of his photographs quite simply eclipse his competitors. I cannot recommend him too highly.

Ian helped our family with a Christmas gift for our Gran. This involved Ian taking individual and group photos of 16 grandchildren and great grandchildren ranging from 3 years of age to 30! Ian was a complete professional throughout and made everyone feel completely at ease when having photographs taken. Ian took much time and care throughout and was able to give us a varied selection of images to choose from before selecting the individual images that we would use. Ian managed to put together what is now a prized possession in our Gran’s house. Ian is an excellent photographer and I would thoroughly recommend Ian Arthur Photography.

I used Ian Arthur photography for a portrait of my 3 year old grand-daughter. Ian took his time and got to know her before he started taking shots of her. He took some amazing photographs, all completely natural, he just snapped away, she was completely at ease and had great fun. Ian's finished product was fantastic and great value for money. I would definately use Ian again, and have recomended him to my family and friends.

It was a great experience having Ian as our wedding photographer. The pictures were amazing, and the storybook was out of this world. Most of all, Ian made us feel comfortable on the day. We were a bit doubtful at first, but after seeing him in action then after seeing his pictures, we were made up. This guy's a top photographer.
