I recently requested a cracked screen repair on a laptop. Having used this company before I was happy to do so again. They replaced the screen but were also happy to address the dent in the lid which had caused the screen to fail and was showing on the new one at no additional cost after this was mentioned. Very helpful and happy to use again.
I recently bought a new desktop PC from these chaps. When I got it home, I couldn't get the VDU to work. The company sent round one of their sdtaff and he deiagnosed a fault in the connecting cable, ordered a anew one and it arrived a couple of days later. All now excellent. I had purchased a high end Dell from the company and it is fantastic - really fast and with 500Gb of solid state memory. The price was very competitve and great value for money and backed up with 1st Class support. I would recommend them without any reservations whatsoever. A great company who deserve to do reaaly well. Don't bother with places like Currys.
I needed my iPhone cracked screen replacing. Having used their services once before, I contacted the shop via email and had a couple of responses over the last weekend asking me when I could take the phone in, and confirming how long it would take to do (1 hour) and the cost for doing the work. I took it there today and after 1. 5 hours collected it with the screen replaced looking as good as new. Excellent service which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Thank you to the people at I T Repair Gurus for making this such an easy fix for me.
One Star is too much. My daughters device was sent in for a screen repair. Not only did they do this badly, but they also broke the apple touch ID and pierced the battery. Having gone back and forth with Jonathan, the owner, he takes no responsibility for this. A third party business reveiwed the work and have said the damage has undoubtedly been caused by I. T Repair Gurus. They offered to repair part of the damage they have caused but at a cost! Trying to come to a sensible, amicable solution was not been forthcoming and Jonathan has since tried to 'fix' the device further, without permission. This in itself is an admission of neglegence. Dissapointingly, this is by far the worst experience I've had with a phone repair company and I will now seek damages for the device through the approroate channels. AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSE.Moreexpand_more
Submitted my HP laptop to have a broken hinge repaired, but they found that the palm rest also was broken so had to be replaced too. The replacement part from HP had a faulty touchpad so without hesitation they went the extra mile and ordered another which now words perfectly. Throughout they were courteous, efficient and provided good value for money. Highly recommended.
Very happy with their service. I have purchased laptops and printers from them in the past and all have worked well. During this time of isolation my laptop stop working, just at a time I needed it most. I phoned them up Monday morning and they arranged somewhere for me to drop it off that afternoon. The repair man kept me informed what he found wrong with it and I was able to pick it up Wednesday morning fully repaired and all for a reasonable price. I'd highly recommend I. T. Repairs for all of your computer needs, their great and helpful service is second to non. Thank you. Will.
Magnificent local company, got me out of a right hole just now. Carelessly I smashed the screen of my I-Phone and under lock down conditions using social distancing protocols by e-mail appointment I was able to drop off the phone at the appointed house, have a new screen fitted (they were WFH) and 24 hours later pick up the fully repaired phone…. And they only charged the standard price. So grateful for such an excellent service.
Very disappointing results, the company are unprofessional in their approach and don't take the time to make sure their costumers are receiving the best quality service. I brought my laptop in because of an update fault, I waited a week, to only end up calling them back myself and found they still hadn't had the time to give a simple diagnosis. The update had corrupted my system, so I was told they would have to wipe the system and would try and get my data back. Upon collecting my laptop they told me the laptop was fixed no issue but they weren't able to retrieve the data as it was already corrupted. This was all fine apart from the poor customer service. I was happy to get my laptop back and just assume they were busy and not blame it on poor costumer service. However, upon receiving my laptop back I found when opening and closing it was catching and slightly lifting up the edge of the keyboard and saw the side of the base had a gap and would not click back into place. So, I took it back in the next day and they immediately knew the problem and was told that this was already broken before and they discovered this when opening the laptop, I obviously can't argue with them. I don't mind that this was an issue but I feel this is something I should have been told on the phone or when I collected my laptop. Nearly a week later (again) I called them back myself to find they had already fixed it and not called me to tell me this. The laptop has basically just been glued together and I didn't get a price up of a new part which they told me they would do. I would of happily paid extra to have a new part and would of done so if I was told about this issue initially. The laptop I got back was dirty and I had to clean glue off the outside of my laptop myself. The physical laptop is still not fixed, however, I am grateful for their help to fix the initial issue, but they need to seriously rethink their customer service and how the customer's device is presented back to them at collection. I would not recommend this business.Moreexpand_more
Thanks once more to IT Guru's Hungerford. Fast and efficient turnaround on a new touchscreen for my Lenovo 510 14ISK lappy. 90mins from dropping off, collected, fixed and as new. £150. Maybe cheaper elsewhere, but prefer their safe pair of hands. 6 month guarantee on work carried out also helps. Shout out to Jonathan and George. Thanks guys. Great job.
Tony Attoe is a registered director of IT repair gurus so I'd take his review with a bucket of Salt, George Evans either works or has worked there and his girlfriend is Summer Openshaw so these reviews above mine are attempts to save face. A clear attempt to counteract my review… Top business ethic. Absolute waste of time, they have had my phone for over two months now, simple screen repair on HTC 10. I was called to collect before Christmas only to find my phone now broken in a different manner with the sim card slot stuck in the phone. I returned item to shop twenty minutes after picking it up in supposedly working order. I was then basically called a liar and I'd done the damage myself when trying to eject the sim card tray. Was told several times that they hadn't had to access that area so they couldn't have broken it. I left it with them and another engineer looked at it and discovered they had damaged the area upon refitt of the screen. The phone was ready today 22/01/2019 to pick up only to receive another phone call advising that they had to fit another part, this was after being told it was ready. Now I'm being told it will be ready Friday… Seriously not impressed and was not far off taking to small claims court to get my item sorted. We shall see what happens Friday… EDIT:- Still haven't fixed my phone despite telling me it would be ready today… They keep saying its ready to pick up and then it mysteriously requires a new part again which tells me they aren't doing anything to actually try and resolve this issue… If it is not ready by Monday I shall be issuing them with a letter giving them 7 days notice to repair it or replace it citing the consumer rights act 2015. My guess at what's happened is that they hadn't repaired one before, the proficient engineer was away and someone tried to do undertake the repair without actually knowing how to repair it… What annoys me most is I could have done this myself but didn't have the time. As such I've been inspired to start my own mobile phone and laptop repair business….Moreexpand_more
My laptop crashed and IT Gurus were able to download all the data on my files and install a new drive. All lost software was reinstalled and emails accounts set up again. I was kept informed at all stages. Excellent friendly service and advice from Jonathon and Paul.
