Eddie came round at very short notice to do some plastering work following the rewiring of our flat. He arrived when he said he would and got the work done in less than a day, he did a great job and it was excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Eddie stripped back and replastered our large bedroom, replaced the skirting and put up a new ceiling. He was everything we hoped for: fast, hardworking, skilled and very experienced. He was also very friendly, made as little mess as possible, and cleared up very well. Eddie Witney is certainly a tradesman of a dying breed-those that are prepared to put in a shift and don't shirk from a challenge. He is honest, reliable and courteous-values often lost on today's tradesmen. Eddie replastered our entire house over a number of weeks, such was the scale. Eddie has now worked on three rooms in our period property. The work he has carried out has involved ripping many spaces right back to the brick and working back to finished walls as smooth as butter. In the kitchen he has levelled out incredibly uneven walls and applied extra insulation to help keep this space at the back of the house warmer. Not only is his work to an exacting standard but he is friendly, extremely reliable, fast-working and exceptionally good value for money. We will be using him throughout the entire restoration of our home and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

I called Eddie to repair a ceiling that had partially collapsed in the flat. His attention to detail, service and reliability were exemplary. Considering the mess the ceiling collapse caused, Eddie made a fantastic job of not only repairing the damage but clearing away afterwards. He kept me informed of progress throughout and offered me useful redecorating tips at the end of the job. I have no hesitation in recommending Eddie to anyone in need of a reliable and highly professional plasterer.

We have a 1930's bungalow in which we added a loft conversion. The original lathe and plaster ceiling in our dinning room had cracked badly since we started using the rooms upstairs. In another room we had artex we wanted replaced. Eddie quoted and gave options to keep the price down. Although not the cheapest of all the quotes he went into much more detail about what needed to be done. We agreed a price for a full replacement ceiling in one room and a skim to the other. I had been concerned about the mess involved in taking down the ceiling, however in just two days,Eddie removed the ceiling, all the waste and had replastered to a smooth perfect finish. Eddie then assessed the second ceiling and we agreed the best course of action was another replacement. Again two days work saw the job completed to the same high standard with minimum mess and disruption. Given the age and state of our ceilings, I was very impressed with the finish and the information provided as the job progressed. Am delighted with the plastering work I had done. Eddie re-plastered a ceiling that had fallen down and some other damaged areas in two other rooms. I have had plastering done before by other people and dreaded coming home to the mess. I was delighted with the job he did and it was almost as if he hadn't been there in terms of dust. I use Eddie all the time for all of my plaster work - think that speaks volumes! Got him to do walls in the kitchen - fantastic results! Can't recommend him highly enough. Eddie has done a good number of jobs for me over the years. He is reliable and his plastering is done to a very high standard.

Eddie helped with the repair of a ceiling damaged by water ingress. He completed the job skillfully and the finish is perfect. Eddie's service throughout the time it took to identify and cure the leak was exceptional, since from the start of the problem he gave expert advice that helped in overcoming the problem. He also helped with other minor problems and advised us on further work that we propose to carry out. Overall, then, an Eddie gave us an excellent service 'above the call of duty' and we give a strongly positive recommendation.

I have used Eddie as a plasterer for many years and now I know him in the role of a friend and advisor as well as the best tradesman I use. His plaster is like "silk ". He has continued when he does a job for me, to advise about other aspects of the job in hand and will go out of his way to help or even do the next stage of the work. Eddie Witney (Hyndland Plasterers) came highly recommended to us and we were not disappointed. Ours is an old house and the walls and ceilings reflect the age of the house. We had significant water ingress into our main bedroom which required a lot of restoration work to the eaves section and the main celing including removing a section of the old lathe and plaster ceiling. Eddie did an excellent job in both removing and repairing the damaged ceiling and we were delighted with the finished article. From talking to Eddie it is clear he is a very experienced professional and takes great pride in his workmanship. He was also very helpful in providing expert advice. We would certainly use Eddie for any future plasterwork jobs and would have no hesitation in recommending him to family and friends.

Several months ago, I had some plastering work done in our main bedroom where we had built in cupboards taken down. The wall sloped upwards into the ceiling and there was a corner which seemed to be quite tricky. I contacted Hyndland Plasterers who did a first rate job. The finish of the work was outstanding. It's the smoothest wall in our house! Even the awkward corner was finished brilliantly. We even had an awkward area to the side of our boiler needing plastered and a section on top of our window. Both were done brilliantly. I was surprised by the finish to the side of our boiler as it was such an awkward small place to get plastering. All jobs were done in 2 or 3 days for a reasonable price with minimal mess and to a very high standard. This job involved scraping down and skimming a long and ugly wall, and repairing/stabilising two ceilings in a traditional Victorian tenement flat. The work was done on time and according to the estimate, and we highly recommend Eddie Witney for all similar types of work.
