Noel has just plastered a room in our house including the ceiling and repairing several large building work cracks. Cant recommend him highly enough. Enthusiastic about coming to have a look at the job, prompt quote and was able to fit us in relatively quickly even though for him I guess it was only a relatively small job. He was very pleasant and friendly and I had absolutely no concerns about leaving him in the house. He got the job done very efficiently to a very high standard for a fair and reasonable price. All plastering makes a bit of a mess but he cleared everything up afterwards including hosing the drive down. Very impressed, will definitely use him again and have no reservations in recommending.
I'm site manager for hazel grove high school we asked Noel to do a small plastering job for us, he arrived on time completed the job on time and was very clean and a great finish all this has meant in us using Noel again this summer I who highly recommend his services.
Had a job completed by Noel last year. Yes he was punctual. Yes he was polite. Everything looked lovely when the job was initially completed. However, as the weeks passed by, the plaster began to crack and crumble to the point of disrepair. This has resulted in me having to get the job done a second time. Clearly, someone who is not very clued up about plastering. Quality of work is shocking. Needless to say, I wont be using his services again.
Possibly the single best experience I have ever had with any tradesman. Noel turned up on time for the inital quote, even taking shoes off at the door. Gave me a couple of options depending on budget and wasn't phased by walls last cared for over 30 years ago. Agreed on re-boarding of one wall, complete rendering in patches and final skimPrice is good, work is fantastic, plaster like glass. Very tidy, and no hassles, turned up an did the job.
Shane arrived at the agreed time each day and was polite and professional. He did a very good job and we are pleased with the results. Work carried out was boarding and skimming the understairs cupboard, patch repairing a crack in the bedroom ceiling and filling in a hole in the shower room ceiling. Shane was a hard worker and will be invited back for any future work.
We needed our back bedroom skimming over, with not much notice, Noel was very professional and put himself out by working on a Sunday and did a wonderful job, at a very reasonable price in very quick time. We want to thank him again and would recommend his work to any one. Nicola and Colin.
Ried without success to get aRlasterer to skim 2 artex ceilings until I contacted Abg. They came quickly and gave a good price. Arrived promptly on the day arranged and protected the carpeted floor before priming and skimming, the job was completed in day and a half. Good quality work and Shane was polite and tidied up well. Recommended.
We used Abg Plastering more than once for jobs this year, 1) Upstairs: 1 good size bedroom, 2 small rooms, a stairwell and 1 artex ceiling. Competed in 6-7 days by Shane. 2) Downstairs: 1 small artex ceiling (3m2) and 1 wall in hallway, boarding up and skimming of bathroom ceiling (4m2), repair of unstable wall section involving cutting bricks to size and rebuilding wall section with decent cement mix, whilst putting ducting outlet in place; over boarding of medium size ceiling, small brickwork job outside. Completed by Shane in 5 days. 3) Downstairs: plastering of 1 good size bedroom, 1 wall and ceiling of 6-7m2 in another room. Completed by Shane and Jamie in 1 1/2 days. The quality was best judged the day after/after walls dried off, upon which some rough patches and long/deep grooves from a "flying" trowel become apparent in places upstairs and in the hallway. Overall standard and speed okay. At £120 per day and per person, for a 7 hour day, reasonable. Quote by text message as proof of the agreed always recommended. Upon completion cleared and cleaned up to a reasonable standard. A decent plasterer should finish a room in 1-2 days, depending on size and condition, including preparation work (ex. Wall plug removal, applying corner beads and tape, PVA adhesive on artex ceilings). We found Shane quite knowledgeable and capable in repairing brickwork and in damp proofing. Thank you.Moreexpand_more
We had a wall replastered with water-resistant and salt inhibiting properties to remedy a damp problem, and then the whole room was skimmed. We chose ABG because they seemed very knowledgeable and explained the reasoning behind using this particular plaster. The price was also very reasonable. Carpets and furniture were covered throughout the work to reduce the mess. Shane was very polite and courteous throughout (I wasn't called "love" or ordered to put the kettle on once! :D) and carefully read what the damp specialist had reported. The finished job looks brilliant and we're really pleased with it. Would definitely use ABG plastering again.
We had our hallway, stairs and landing re plastered. The finish was very good and commented on by other trades men we had in. The price was reasonable and work done in line with what was agreed. Noel came back and touched up places following the fitting of new skirting and archtitraves. Thanks for the great job.
