Hues came to life as a concept born out of personal experience. It all started when our children were toddlers, and we found ourselves on the hunt for high-quality, gender-neutral basic clothing. Every Halloween, we embarked on the adventure of creating costumes for our little ones, despite lacking sewing skills and time (hello, busy parents! ). Our costume-making endeavors typically began with plain-colored base layers, which we then embellished with various crafting ideas – and let's not forget the copious amounts of hot glue involved (ouch! ).

One particular Halloween, our daughter, then four years old, had her heart set on being a "princess alien. " Simple enough, right? Wrong. All we needed was a long-sleeve green top and trousers in the same hue, but to our dismay, they were nowhere to be found. We scoured every corner of our imaginations and every store we could think of, but to no avail. It was in that moment of frustration and determination that the idea for Hues was born.
