About Hope Jewellery
I have been designing and hand making sterling silver jewellery for 5 years. My jewellery journey began in London on a 12 week silver smithing course and then after moving to the Cotswolds in 2021 I have done several one to one in person tutorials and more recently completed and passed a One Year Fine Jewellery Diploma with the Jewellers Academy.
My pieces are stylish, wearable and collectable. I use different techniques to create texture and movement in my designs. I have an extensive range of vermeil gold plated pieces which you can build into your own collection. I also welcome commissions and jewellery repairs.
I learned so much on my Fine Jewellery Diploma which involved so many different techniques and processes. This included reticulation, Keum Boo, a process invented in Korea which involves applying 24ct gold foil to reticulated silver using heat. I also learned how to do different stone settings including tube setting, claw setting, collet setting and gallery setting. I also designed and handcrafted a hinged locket, hinged hoop earrings, and designed my own collection. Invaluable learning that I have been able to carry over into my every day designs.
I have an online shop which has a range of my designs to purchase.
But I prefer to sell my pieces direct to customers so I can explain the process and techniques and ensure that each piece fits the customer perfectly. I can be found most Saturdays at the Cirencester Indoor Craft Market in the Corn Hall there 10am - 4.30pm.
My workshop is in my house in Draycot Cerne near Chippenham. I make jewellery every day as it is my passion. I am inspired by customers and nature around me. I love designing new collections and seeing how they look in gold. My most popular pieces are textured (hammered) jewellery, sea glass collections, linked bracelets and chunky bangles. I welcome commissions and love nothing more than realising someone's idea that is personal to them.
In February I will be offering jewellery workshops, a chance for customers to book a few hours with me to learn how to make a piece of their own jewellery. This could be a set of stacking rings, some textured earrings, a hammered pendant or a bangle. Details will be announced on Instagram/Facebook.0 FreeIndex Reviews
