About Hillingdon Arts Association
Born in the cultural excitement of the 1960s, the Hillingdon Arts Association was created alongside the newly formed London Borough of Hillingdon to champion local creativity. Its earliest mission was simple yet powerful: distribute the council’s annual arts grant and empower voluntary arts groups across the borough.
More than half a century later, the HAA continues to be the beating heart of Hillingdon’s creative scene - supporting performing arts, music, visual arts, literary arts, and crafts across all our diverse communities.
A Registered Charity with a Creative Purpose.
Since becoming a Registered Charity in 2004, the HAA has been dedicated to enriching local life by strengthening the voluntary arts sector for the benefit of everyone.
Our charitable aims focus on two core goals:
1. Empowering Local Arts Organisations.
We provide guidance, resources, practical support, and a collaborative network for voluntary arts groups and charities to thrive.
2. Inspiring and Educating the Community.
We help bring the arts to the public - promoting cultural appreciation, supporting learning, and encouraging participation across all ages and backgrounds.
The HAA Today.
Today, the HAA is a vibrant community of societies, clubs, associations, creative groups, classes, and individual artists. Together, we promote and celebrate every corner of the arts - from painting and pottery to theatre, music, dance, writing, and more.
Our members are united by a shared mission:
To make the arts accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for the people of Hillingdon and West London.
Whether you're a creative group seeking support, an artist wanting to connect, or a resident looking to explore the rich cultural life of the borough, the HAA is here to champion your journey.0 FreeIndex Reviews
