I recently needed to upgrade my laptop due to operating system upgrades rendering it insecure. I spoke to Paul of Help! PCSOS in good time about what I should replace it with. I gave Paul a prioritised wish list. Expecting that I'd not get everything I wanted for my budget. However, Paul found me a laptop that had all my wish list items on. As with my previous laptop I needed Paul to upgrade the storage and Paul came up with affordable solutions to do this. Then when he was transferring things from my old laptop to the new, two key bits of software I used no longer worked on the upgraded operating system. I was prepared to lose out or have to find an unsatisfactory work around. But Paul said to let him look into solutions. Within 24 hours Paul had come up with a solution and was able to message me to say that everything that worked on my old laptop was now working on my new - only faster! As my existing laptop could not accommodate Windows 11 software, Help! PCSOS helped me select a replacement, supervised data transfer and explained changes in functionality of the new software. Help! PCSOS also modified my wife's laptop so that it would function with Windows 11 efficiently. All this was done clearly and patiently so that we could understand how our new systems worked, and made us confident of being able to use them effectively. The best help I have received since I bought my first desk top computer in1991.
I recently asked Help! PCSOS to replace the thermal paste on my 2012 MacBook Pro because even though the fan was clean it was running very hot. Mr Young undertook the job however he was not happy just replacing the thermal paste he investigated the issue and found other issues with the cooling system and rectified them. He also, with my permission, installed some software to ensure the fan speed was more closely matched to the requirements of the cpu to keep it cool. The entire job was just £50. 00. Thats all. My aged laptop now runs as if it were just out of the box and I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Mr Young services, he is highly professional, extremely knowledgeable and a very friendly person. He undertook what on the surface seems pretty straight forward, but wanted to make sure that I got the best possible result. Brilliant service, outstanding.
Having bought a new Apple iMac desktop to replace my 13-year-old one, the job of transferring 250GBs of data to the new model was well beyond me Luckily a friend had recently used Paul Young's services and recommended him highly. Paul did a remarkable job for me - made more difficult by the fact that I'd bought a Mac with scarcely enough space to take all my data - and showed great ingenuity and patience in tackling that and a number of other problems. He has created a set-up that works speedily and reliably, at a very competitive price. His competence and trustworthiness would be hard to beat, and I have no hesitation in giving him a 5-star rating.
Paul responded very quickly to my initial enquiry and managed to sort out multiple software issue across several laptop and devices very quickly and efficiently. Also gave all the laptops a ‘MOT’ to increase speed, memory and functionality. All work done through remote access so didn’t even need to waste time travelling. As a company, we will certainly now be using Help! PCSOS going forward and I would highly recommend Paul and the service provided.
Paul is always extremely easy to deal with, he is clear and concise and explains everything without bamboozling you with tech jargon. We have been using him for a number of years and he has always helped us at his earliest convenience. He is, and will always remain our first port of call with any computer related issues. Paul has just upgrade a very old lap top from windows vista to latest operating system and it is amazing and just like a brand new lap top in fact. His level of customer care equals his level of professionalism and I can not recommend him enough. If you want a job done well without fuss then look no further. Sue.
Paul Young has done a great job on my recalcitrant computer, identifying software incompatibilities and the reasons for them, and tenaciously finding solutions. He is highly knowledgeable, but if necessary seeks new answers to unusual problems. And he doesn't overcharge. Highly recommended.

Arrived on time, started immediately. Had to get inside the case and saw. the mess inside with cables everywhere. Sorted out the problem in under 5 minutes and then sorted out the cables at no extra charge. I now have a computer that works faster than ever and totally reliable. My only criticism is the amount of coffee he drinks, so you have been warned! Thanks again Paul, please don't change jobs!
Paul was recommended to me by a friend who had used his services for a number of years. There were a number of problems with my computer. Paul responded quickly to an initial e-mail, arranged a time for a visit and arrived promptly as arranged. He quickly identified the source of the problems and sorted them out, recommending also that I should install more RAM. He ordered the necessary item and returned a few days later to install it. Very pleased with the results and will use him again if necessary.
Paul Young was most helpful in restoring my computer to use after I was the victim of a scam. I found it difficult to understand the instructions from the person I contacted at Virgin Media for help and was grateful for the prompt support I received from Paul who had been recommended to me by friends.
