I have been providing counselling service and Psychosexual and relationship therapy since 1995 as a sole trader. I have worked for companies such as AXA ICAS, The Human Business and Validium providing Employment assistance programmes (EAP)for 15 years. I now go to traumatic incidents for both AXA and Validium as a rapid response provider of counselling and support. I added life coaching in 2004 and have taught both midwifery and counselling up to degree level. I am also a supervisor for case work holders in any field.

I work from an integral base helping the client to respond to a variety of modalities rather than expecting the client to fit the therapy.

About me: retired midwife and lecturer, Sexual health nurse in Brook Advisory centres with young people for many years so I am well aware of safeguarding, pressures and problems that young people and their families today are coping with. Mother to grown up children and grandmother to 8 and great grandmother to 2 ( best job in the world).

I have mobility problems but this has not stopped me achieving my goals and actually brings out the best in other people now that I have learnt to accept help.

I was awarded the British Empire medal for work with young people in 2015 and in 1997 won the Nursing times/3M award for innovations in nursing working with a team approach to sexual health for hard to reach young people. At the time I was senior Nurse at Wirral brook Centre from which I have recently retired. I believe that education is the key to assisting young people to cope with today's society pressures and educating the educators is at the base of this. In counselling and coaching, education is also important as if people understand what is happening in the brain and the gut then it makes taking control a bit easier.

I never insist on so many sessions or booked times but leave the organisation of your needs in your hands. I am here to support you in coping with the changes and challenges that life throws at you and causes anxiety and/or depression. Anger management and coping skills can be helped with Emotional freedom therapy (EFT) which is something we could explore together.
