My labrador Dylan had a fantastic day with Viv and the dogs and didn't want to leave when I picked him up. Viv was brilliant with the dogs and cares for them as if they are her own. Dylan loved the extra-long walk and had great fun playing with the other dogs. He can't wait to go again! Rachel.
Alfie has stayed with Viv at Hawarden Doggie Day Care for 2 weekends so far and is booked in for 2 more before the end of the year. I would not hesitate to recommend the service to any dog owner. Thank you very much Viv. Lucy Plumridge.
I found the service whilst looking for short term kennels for my 6 month old hyperactive red setter, Diego we visited and Diego was treated like the family pet, mixing with the other dogs and running around having fun! Diego spent 3 days there this week, coming home on an evening exhausted, his behaviour has improved no end and Viv gave us some really useful help and advise about training and looking after our new puppy! I would recommend every dog gets to go as a treat!
Due to booking a last minute holiday abroad last month we were recommened Doggie Day Care, as this is the first time we have left our 2 yr old border collie jack. (we used to have a caravan an he came with us) I felt gulity leaving him. I remember as a child going on holiday and putting our other border collie in kennels and she never came back the same dog. But i shouldnt of worried, Jack came home the same dog, a little calmer, and now evens goes into the water when we walk him, which he never did. I would definatley recommend Viv, she does a fantastic job with the dogs. And will be using her again nxt year this time for 2 weeks.
Jo JonesI have a 5 month old yellow Lab called Molly Mayhem (the name says it all). Molly goes to Viv's every week day and thoroughly enjoys it. Molly loves Viv and all the dogs. I would be lost without Viv, she is a Godsend and I would definately recommend Doggie Day Care to everyone. Thanks Viv.
Viv was my saving grace . My pre arranged dog walker let me down 2 days before going on holiday - I called Viv in a mad panic, she was wonderful, asked me to go round and meet her so she could meet George and vice versa - George stayed at my parents house, but being a boisterous 8 month cocker spaniel I felt it was too much to ask my parents to exercise him for his required 2 hours per day whilst away. Viv used to collect George in the "Dog Bus" and take him for hours of fun and exercise with other dogs, my mum said he always came back tired and ready for a sleep having worn off his excess energy - Viv runs all the dogs together as a pack and I do believe she is Deesides answer to the dog whisperer! - I can't thank her enough for helping me out last minute, will definitely use her services again and recommend her to anyone who needs their dogs exercising in fun places and socialising with others. Nicky, Hawarden.
We left our 4year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with Viv when we went to our daughter's wedding in the South of England. Oscar had never been left before as usually one of the family was home to look after him. A dedicated wimp who requires a lot of TLC and nervous of other dogs we knew that kennels were not for him. Our Oscar was treated as one of Viv's family and was cheeky enough to try to appropriate Viv's own Oscar's food, he being a rather large German Shepherd. When he was picked up our children were a little disappointed when he was not as excited as they expected to see them. He had a whale of a time and I would thoroughly recommend Viv's services to anyone. Thank you so much for taking such good care of him. Many thanks also to Suzanne our Dog Groomer who recommended Viv to us.
I needed someone to look after my pup Ellie one or two days a week while I was in work. Hawarden Doggie Day Care is ideal for me. I drop her off before work and pick her up afterwards. She gets the run of the house, - no kennels - plus a good walk. I know Viv treats her as one of her own and she is well looked after. I would recommend Viv's services to anyone who is in need of a dog minder! .
I have used hawarden doggie day care a few times now and found my dog was better for it would recommend viv to anyone as dogs look a lot better then going to kennels. .
I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Hawarden Doggie Day Care. I have a 12 month old collie and have unfortunately had to go into Walton Hospital for surgery seven times this past year. My dog has had the best of care and love. I have kept them on as I feel he just loves going with Viv and the gang and sits on the stairs waiting for her every day, he loves his walks and playing with the other dogs almost as much as he loves Viv. Thank you for a job done with love, care and fun.
I have an old dog with bad hips so am very fussy who I leave her with. I left her with Viv while I went away and when I came back you could see she had clearly had a good time! She can pine, but not with Viv and all the lovely company of friendly dogs to play with! I wouldn't hesitate to leave her with Viv again. Well cared for and in good hands. Highly recommended!
We took Kym and Jess to Doggie day care. They had never been in kennels as we don't believe they would be right for them. Kym is very boisterous and wasn't too keen on other dogs and Jess is a rescue dog and very timid with people. When we collected them after 5 days they were clearly very settled and happy and in no rush to come home! We will definately be using Viv's services again as we felt calm that they are treated as if it were their own home.
Superb service, Diesel is a 5 month old German Shorthaird Pointer and really loves his walks with Viv We would recommend this service to all who are interested.
We took Duncan to stay with Viv overnight for the first time just to make sure he was happy being there and also that Viv would find out just how boisterous he is! I'm glad to say that both were extremely happy which made us feel comfortable and looking forward to going on holiday knowing that he would be in a loving environment home from home and have the benefit of being with other dogs. He was very timid when meeting dogs before but Viv said that he soon settled in and became best friends with the others which was evident when we collected him. She is firm but fair and teaches all her dogs basic commands whilst in her care. I wouldn't hesitate to take Duncan back there for his holiday again.
Viv invited me along to her house last Saturday to see her set up and have a chat, as I am still thinking about getting a dog, but would need some help if I do, due to work. There were six dogs there including her own, and although I'm no expert, I could see that all were happy with each other and their home from home. Viv was very helpful with advice even though I am only a prospective customer, and I will certainly be back in touch if I ever reach a decision on getting a dog. :).
I took my dog to Hawarden Doggie Day Care for several months on a daily basis as I work full time and my son had left home, therefore didn't want to leave my dog on his own all day. Viv, who runs the business was very accommodating. She has a dog of her own and sometimes had up to 4 or 5 dogs at a time. The company did Max the world of good and got him used to other dogs. As he is a staffie/collie cross he is quite a handful but Viv managed to keep him under control and he was always shattered when I picked him up in the evening from the long walks she took them on. She also fed him and I know he had lots of love. I would recommend using Hawarden Doggie Day Care for regular care or holidays/weekends/Angela Thompson.
We leave Carlo with Viv regularly when we are working and he recently spent a week with her when we were away on holiday. This is home from home for Carlo he is an excitable boy but gets treated firmly and fairly and with love. He gets to go on lovely long walks in the woods and spends time with other dogs which as an ex rescue dog is very valuable. Most important of all we know he is safe and well looked after - a little oasis for us - thanks Viv - Lindsay, Mark and Carlo xxx.
We left our two puppies with Viv, and on returning from holiday, found them safe and sound , happy and more responsive to commands. We will not hesitate to use these services again, and in fact have already booked them in in july. thankyou Viv.
Since losing his pal,Rupert, Wookie has not settled when left with friends whilst we were on holiday. However,he has stayed with Viv on two occasions recently and it was obvious that he had had a great time and had been well looked after. Wookie is everyone's friend be they human or canine and we are sure that the fact that he was never short of company contributed to the way he settled at Viv'sThe cost was slightly more expensive than we had paid previously but perhaps it was worth it for the dogs well being.
Viv looks after my dog on a regular basis and does an exceptional job. Its always a struggle to get him to leave. The service and care provided is second to none. Man,s best friend deserves the best when you can,t be there for them and viv fills the gap well.
