Harrowell brothers Specialist in structural openings, concreting, refurbishment, demolition, strip outs of offices and industrial premises Paving, fencing, painting and decorating, house strip outs and clearance, office clearance.Harrowell builders is run by Mark Harrowell I have 42 years in the building industry, I hold a smsts certificate ipath cardsssts card, demolition card, pasma certificate for towers and podiums, asbestos awareness certificate, manual handling certificate, working at heights certificate.
The other members of my team who are based in London and Hertfordshire are my brothers and there sons who are painters and decorators and my son who is an all rounder we also have a bricklaying company that we use who are very good at what they do, so all in all we can cover just about all your requirements.

This company is one of the worse we've ever known. The intimidation and aggression was quite real. If there was a way to leave a review without a star I would do so happily. Not only did they do a botched job, we had to pay other builders to repair the job they did. Continuous request for money. Very cheap and substandard materials used The dishonesty was way beyond anything. Simple things like plumbing a sink was butchered. Bathroom still leaking and walls left incomplete and roof leaking. Took £12,000 within 4 weeks. They insisted on full payment before returning to do some of the works. Mark Halliwell would disappear for weeks and make so many excuses. I was without a sink for 1 month. He is really deceptive. Pretends to know the job but I don't believe he does. Says he's worked on building sites but I wonder about the quality of work. I would not consider using them but if you do be warned. Once you part with your money you are then left up the creek.Moreexpand_more
Response : Why are you lying Sarah you paid me £10,000 as agreed in the original invoice and that stated that any extra work would incur more costs , when I pointed out to you the extras you agreed to them all and I said I would cap my costs at £12,500 as you said you didn't have a lot of money the extras included stripping off the bathroom roof and replacing rotten timbers , fitting an extra double glazed window to your kitchen , repairing the bad workmanship of your insurance company , moving the... If saying I can't afford to come back unless you pay me some money first is threatening then I think you need to see a specialist You know the reason I asked for the money first was because I was worried you wouldn't pay me You then come on hear telling lies and sending me messages saying you hope me and my family dies ,what sort of lady are you ? I can produce you with as many photos as you want of all the work carried out on your property and the bad state it was in aswell I keep all your messages aswell and have a record of all payments made to me by youI have photos of jobs I have completed in the past 2 years totalling well over £800,000 and no one was disappointed in my work , I work off word of mouth thats why I get so much work Your brother saw the standard of my work and thats why he recommended. Absolutely abysmal. Mark Harrowell took £10000 of my money and disappeared. I was left with leaking roof and bath. Leaking sink, unfinished plumbing. The list is endless. I’ve reported him to trading standards. Avoid at all cost.
Response : I think you will find that the work that was done to the roof wasn't paid for , the extensive damp issue in the bathroom and kitchen has now been resolved The terrible building work done by your insurance company was fixed by me , you told me you wouldn't be able to pay me for the extra work as you had run out of money . I offered to come back and sort out the leaks but you refused, its a minor issue that could be easily sorted , same as the roof that you hadn't paid me for and replacing the rotten roof timbers As far as I'm aware I have been very fare with you and I think you thought you could be like your next door neighbour who owed her builder , £30,000 and wouldn't come back to talk to him Im afraid that some people expect hotel standards on a shed budget.
