Having opened originally in 2011 as Harrogate Autocentre, specialising primarily as a service, repair and MOT centre on Ripon Road in Harrogate, we rapidly outgrew our premises there and expanded to a new purpose built facility on Claro Way in 2016. Having grown steadily over this time we have since accrued additional expertise within our team and have expanded to cover motorhome servicing, repairs and builds/conversions along with class 4/7 MOT services.

Having previously outsourced our sales of motorhomes to a third party, now we are launching our own complete in house motorhome service to include sales, habitation, damp repairs, servicing, MOT’s and electrical maintenance. We have NCC approved engineers with all relevant experience and qualifications.

Whether it be a simple habitation service, a full major mechanical service, an MOT or anything in-between, we have it covered with our fully trained in house service team. We take great pride in our team and their ability with all of them being accredited in their field of expertise be it mechanical, habitation, electrical or bodywork.

If you need a repair, we hold a large stock of spare parts and can have your motorhome back on the road with a minimum amount of disruption.

A habitation check is a detailed examination of the living area of your motorhome or caravan.

There are important reasons to have regular habitations checks:

• Identify problems early – catching a problem early will prevent a quick fix turning into a costly repair.
• Warranty – to avoid invalidating your warranty.
• Maintaining value – a history of habitation checks and maintenance will enhance the value and saleability of your motorhome or caravan.

Habitation checks entail a thorough inspection of the habitation area of your motorhome or caravan. The inspection is carried out by a specialist motorhome and caravan engineer. It follows a set procedure and highly detailed inspection plan. It covers dangers such as fire risk, ventilation and gas systems as well as problem areas like damp, water systems, electrical systems and bodywork. You receive a full report afterwards with observations of problems identified and action required.

The gas, water and electrical systems tested using specialist equipment.
Gas certification.
Damp test.
Fire safety and security checks.
All locks are inspected, tested and lubricated.
Blinds, windows, roof lights are opened, checked and adjusted where necessary.
The underbody and chassis mountings are checked.
