Our house had a complete reroof by another company some years ago but a large external-wall chimney continued to cause issues during periods of heavy rainfall. Ian was recommended to me by a friend. The quality of the workmanship to solve the issue was several levels above what the previous roofer had done. The lead flashing around the chimney is a particularly excellent piece of work. I would certainly recommend Ian to anyone that needed a roofer.

Harrison roofing replaced a flat roof surface which had become worn over its lifetime. The job was done promptly and professionally. It’s a much tidier installation than had been done previously. All sealed, straight, tight and tidy.

After being recommended by very many people on a local neighbourhood website I obtained a quotation from Ian at Harrison Roofing for a complete re-roof of our bungalow. The work has just been completed to high standard. Best quality materials used, full liaison and progress reports throughout, and just as importantly equipment, skips, materials and staff turned up when stated. Rapid progress made and the final result looked robust and classy, right down to the new leading on the chimney stack. Quotation was valid for the 6 months it took to complete. I couldn't recommend this company highly enough.

Excellent craftsmanship when refelting, installing a new underlay, tiling, dry verge and dry ridge, alongside some new fascias. Kept us up to date as the scope of work had to widen. Priced fairly. Very happy with the service.

They have just carried out a full roof replacement for me and they have done a fantastic job, from the scaffolders, replacing it and coming back to sweep the area after the scaffolding has been removed. The roof looks good too, with the new dry verge also fitted.

I needed a new roof for the bungalow and searched online for a company recommended to me, Harrison Roofing Peckfield Garforth. I contacted Ian Harrison and he came promptly to look at the work required. Ian discussed the different tiles and work involved and we agreed a tile that would match the neighbouring bungalow. Having provided a very acceptable quote Ian arranged for the scaffold, skips and everything ready to start. From the beginning Ian and his colleague Carl have been very thorough and professional in their work, no short cuts, explaining what was happening all through the work. The end result is an excellent finish and I would have no hesitation in recommending Harrison Roofing of Peckfield Garforth if ever you need a new roof or roof repairs.

Our new roof was completed yesterday (2/10/’20) by Harrison Roofing and the finished article is excellent. Harrison Roofing was recommended to me, before Covid 19 had ever been heard of, by a joiner that had done some very good work for us. Therefore, I was fairly confident that Harrison Roofing would do a reasonable job. The two main roofers, Ian Harrison, the boss, and his colleague Carl, have nearly 80 years of roofing experience between them; all of which is soon evident when you see the skills these guys display. I witnessed nearly all of the stages of the roof being first dismantled, the felt going on, tiles and dry verges being fitted, through to the final stages of the lead being shaped round the chimney and other areas where there was a requirement for lead to be moulded around vulnerable points. Throughout the various stages, their expertise and know-how is readily on show. And they are more than happy to explain what is happening as it progresses. Furthermore, the whole team (there is a third member Ashleigh that works part-time) are very pleasant, down to earth and respectful people. There were no extra charges, even though I believe extra costs to them were incurred for one thing and another. Given the forgoing appraisal of Harrison Roofing, I have no reservations in recommending them to anyone needing a new roof or roof related work. We chose Harrison Roofing as we have seen them around Garforth for years, and a small local business doesn’t last that long unless they are good! Ian and his team totally lived up to expectations, and did a first-class job for us at a very reasonable price, considerably less than we were expecting. He also advised we needed our chimney stack repointing and reflashing – now it’s finished, and we compare it with our neighbours’, we can really see the difference and why it needed doing. From start to finish, Ian explained exactly what he would be doing and why, quoted a firm price which he stuck to (no hidden extras), arranged everything – scaffolders, skip hire, roofing materials – and tidied the site before leaving each day.
