Most companies know AI could help them, but aren't sure what's relevant and what's just noise. I cut through that - starting with a short assessment to find the highest-impact opportunities, then building something your team can use straight away. If it makes sense to go further, I take on bigger projects and make sure your team understands how to get the most from what's been built.

Whether it's automating repetitive admin, processing documents, or turning pattern-based decisions into something AI handles reliably, the focus is always on practical results and leaving your team more capable than before.

Every engagement follows a simple structure. It starts with a short call to understand your business and whether there's a good fit. If there is, Phase 1 is a focused assessment over one to two weeks: I embed with your team, map out how things actually get done, and identify where AI can save the most time. I don't just write up recommendations - I build a working quick win so you can see the value immediately.

If you want to go further, Phase 2 is where the larger solutions get built. That might mean custom tools, automation of key workflows, or setting up existing AI products to work properly with your systems. Throughout, I train your team so they understand what's been built and can get the most from it going forward.

Handbuilt is a one-person consultancy, and that's deliberate. When you work with me, you get fifteen years of software engineering experience - including seven at a leading quantitative hedge fund - applied directly to your business. No sales process, no handoff to a junior team, no project manager in between.

A lot of my career has been spent sitting with non-technical teams, understanding their processes, and finding ways to make them more productive. That's what I still do - just now with AI as part of the toolkit.
