About Greenwood Upholstery
Greenwood Upholstery is a small, family-run workshop based at Topland Business Park in Cragg Vale, near Hebden Bridge. Shaun Greenwood, who leads the workshop, is an AMUSF-accredited master upholsterer with three decades of hands-on experience. The team specialises in restoring, repairing and reupholstering chairs, sofas and furniture with sentimental value, using both age-old and contemporary techniques depending on what each piece needs.
As well as domestic upholstery, the workshop recovers seating for cafes, restaurants, offices and other commercial venues in hard-wearing contract fabrics. Greenwood Upholstery holds approved contractor status with Haven and Bourne Leisure, running a dedicated mobile service for static caravan seating, cushions, pelmets and headboards across the region. Customers can send photographs of their furniture for a straightforward quote, and there's an online photo-estimate tool for a quick idea of cost. The workshop covers Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Cragg Vale, Todmorden, Halifax and the surrounding Calderdale area.
Beginner upholstery courses are taught on-site for anyone wanting to learn the craft hands-on. Shaun has also written a full-length guide to upholstery techniques, available to read free of charge online, alongside a set of practical calculators for fabric, foam and buttoning work.
Whether it's a treasured armchair that needs new springs and a fresh cover, or a full set of office chairs to recover, Greenwood Upholstery aims to give honest advice and a fair price before any work begins.0 FreeIndex Reviews
