Greensleeves (Dorset & South Somerset)

Our lawn emerged after the 2018 winter looking very sad! It was still green - but only because creeping buttercup had taken hold and the grass was struggling for survival! Our soil is heavy clay, so drainage has always been a problem - deep cracks in summer and sodden in the winter. We called Greensleeves and their initial assessment of the problems was both thorough and professional; they recommended having the lawn aereated, both to improve drainage in the wet winte months and to help water reach the roots in summer. The first application of herbicide dealt effectively with the invasive creeping buttercup, and the lawn fertiliser which they use has produced a carpet of lush green grass to replace the weeds! There were no ugly brown patches as the weeds succumbed, which has previously been our experience with over-the-counter weedkillers - this time the change from weeds to grass seemed pretty seamless and we now have a lawn that looks almost artificial! The cost of the five yearly treatments is very reasonable, and we appreciate the fact that these are tailored to the needs of the lawn at the time of treatment. We cannot recommend our local Greensleeves husband and wife team too highly!
