Whilst trying to untangle the intricate stages of design, planning, building regulations and all the required drawings and documentation for what will be just a small garden development, I stumbled across Grant's very informative FAQ section and decided to call. Although not in our area (travel costs would be prohibitive for our tiny project), Grant still took the time to explain all the procedures to me himself and point me in a few directions to help me start the process of turning ideas into reality. A colleague and I were considering purchasing a plot of land for the development of 14 units. Although we had both successfully completed a number of light to heavy refurbishments in the past, this would have been our first step into the new build arena. And with our clear lack of experience we really needed someone trustworthy to hold our hand. In the end we walked away from this particular project, but we would like to thank Grant Erskine for the valuable guidance and effort put into assessing the viability of this project for us, crucially before we had spent. They also picked up on a few discrepancies in the existing outline planning permission drawings which may have presented additional problems further down the line.
