Hello, I'm Graham Wells. I provide an expert piano tuning, repairs and restoration service in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. With over 30 years experience I offer helpful, valuable advice, plus a first class service to domestic customes, schools, churches, theatres and concert venues.

I trained at Newark Technical College, leaving with City and Guilds and Diploma qualifications in 1986. After being employed as a tuner/technician I began my own business in 1988. From my busy workshop in Aston my piano repairs and restoration services were in high demand, especially by local piano dealers. I became well established with tuning work and at various times have worked at most of the concert venues in the Birmingham area and beyond. I have also bought and sold both new and second hand pianos. Nowadays I am primarily occupied with piano tuning for which I am in high demand.

Due to my extensive experience within the piano trade, not just in tuning, but also repairs, restoration and dealing, I am able to provide quality advice on which my customers can rely.

I am very keen to ensure that pianos are brought up to the correct pitch whenever possible. Instruments are all tuned to a standard pitch so that they sound in tune when they all play together. This is also refered to as 'concert pitch'. If a piano is significantly down in pitch I always inform my customers and discuss the options. As long as the piano is in good enough condition I am always prepared to raise it to the correct pitch, improving the piano considerably.

I always give an honest appraisal of a piano. If an instrument is old and in need of repair I can provide sensible advice to help my customers decide how to proceed.
