Got a quote from goskippy, but when they got my credit card information they charged almost twice as much. I called them and asked what is it, so they gave me a policy for the original price. I thought everything was fine until the cooling off period ended, when they started to send me messages that I have to call them. I called them, and guess what, they did not even know why did they sent me the message. After a few other messages I called them again, and they said they didn’t see the fee paid. They started to send me threatening messages, but couldn’t solve the problem. I was fed up, if this company continuously made mistakes, then what would happen if I really need them. I asked to cancel my policy. Policy cancelled, but they started to send me messages again, that I have a huge debt. I called them again, guess what, they said I don’t have to pay anything, but the messages showed a different thing, so I asked to send me that I do not own money. Answer was that I owe money, it was a mistake again. I asked explanation of the debt. They sent me a breakdown where was a significant amount of money stated as broker fee. I asked to break it down this too. They sent me a breakdown again where the broker fee was like third time lower, but they added a direct debit fee, which I have never ever arranged with them. Again questions from my side, and they answered, it was a mistake, and sent me a corrected breakdown, guess what, the total amount was exactly the same like the previous one, just they included the direct debit fee in the broker fee. I called them and asked which is the real broker fee, and how is it calculated. The lady said 2 different amounts. I said this is reason I called you, you cannot even say what do you want to charge me. There was a 1.5 hour conversation when she did not give me any explanation, but she forgot to speak english several times. My personal favourite sentence was from her, “did you say, you wanted to torture me?”, nice try. Nothing solved, and they are threatening me continuously. Poor Customer service / lack of communication / waste of time and money. Very very poor communication, don't resolve nothing each colleague are their own boss there spoke to 16 colleagues in go Skippy made 27 calls and yet my problem isn't solved unorganised insurers and waste of time please guys don't waste you time with go Skippy fully waste of time I repeat fully waste of time and money.
Stay “well“ away from this company, it’s practices are appalling they have absolutely no customer care and treat people in underhanded ways! They cancel insurance policies for absolutelyNO good reason and put markers both on clients credit ratings and insurance logs causing ALL sorts of nightmare for their clients! I took them to the ombusman who found in the favour of the client, they were instructed to remove ALL detrimental markers and pay compensation! Jasmine the complaints handler has real attitude and in-spite of this instruction took their sweet time! They made the life of this poor man unnecessarily hellish for a year and a half…. SHAME on you go skippy! Don’t put yourself through this hell do your research and stay “well” away from this insurance company.
Avoid using this car insurance company- I've been driving my car for 6 weeks because goskippy cancelled my policy at the renewal stage because they wanted more monies! They sent 2 emails no letters no calls no texts. 6 weeks disgusting disgusting worst service ever!
After 23 years of driving I’ve never had to deal with such a DEMANDING and incompetent insurance company! Then to top it off after trying to make a payment over the phone my bank blocked my card because to cut costs goskippy use Nigerian call centres! I’m now getting inundated with scam phone calls and emails and stuck waiting for a new bank card! Then there’s the the demands, so far I’ve been asked for photos of-Full driving licence. No claims discount. Full Log book. Proof of address Proof of earnings Proof of employment Proof of employment qualifications. Photo of the cars vin number. Photo of front of the car. Photo of back of the car. And god knows what else Oh and I must not forget to tell you about their inability to open email attachments in full resolution, I sent my licence and ncd over a dozen times. I honestly feel like I’ve been scammed! It’s like they are trying to get me to cancel my insurance with them so they can charge me massively overpriced cancellation charges! So stay away for god sake! My next step will be asking for a refund, which I really don’t expect to get because I really do suspect goskippy is nothing but a scam!Moreexpand_more
Took out a motorbike insurance policy out 3 months ago and I cancelled today because I hold sold the bike, there was cancellation charges of £75 plus other charges here and there ! In all £150 to cancel ! From £340 on policy ! The attitude of the call handler was "read the terms of business" I would not recommend these jokers, also they kept me on hold for 20 minutes playing awful music.

I have tried many companies but goskippy is best and saved my few hundred of pounds for sure and ans calls quite quickly too and I hope they do more better next year as it's my 1st year with them.
