Gill Martinez - Cabinet Makers

I’m absolutely delighted with the bookcase Gill Martinez made and fitted for me. From the very beginning. Gill was friendly, professional and genuinely committed to doing the very best job possible. He worked incredibly hard and it really shows in the finished result. The workmanship is outstanding, with so much care and attention to detail. The bookcase is beautifully made and has completely transformed the space - I couldn’t be happier with it. What I appreciated most though, was the way Gill made the whole experience so enjoyable. He was a pleasure to have around, always approachable and clearly takes enormous pride in what he does. It was lovely to have someone who cares not just about the finished product, but about making sure the whole process was a positive experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gill to anyone. He is exceptionally talented, hardworking and a genuinely lovely person. I’m so pleased with my bookcase and feel lucky to have found him. Thank you so much Gill, for all your hard work - I absolutely love it!Moreexpand_more

Gill has done a marvellous job on our fitted cupboard in the hallway. He is very pleasant and trustworthy. His craftsmanship is impeccable and he left the room spotlessly clean after finishing his work. I have no hesitation in recommending him to friends and family.

This is the second piece that Gill has made for us. Gill has a real skill for working out what is in the customers brain and turning into a splendidly crafted piece of furniture. The quality is truly excellent. We are delighted with end result. He worked extremely hard to make it look the way it does. I should add that we had similar wardrobe fitted by Neville Johnson’s a few years ago before Gill came on our radar. It is good but not a patch on Gill’s workmanship. We are kicking ourselves that we did not get him to do that piece as well. Thankyou very much Gill.

Amazing service and finished result. Fabulous work on my alcove cupboard and shelving by Gill and Claire. Great communication before and during plus tidy and respectful whilst fitting (during a heatwave! ) As my sister said when I shared a photo of finished result: “It’s fantastic! Really brings the room together - looks like they’ve been there forever! ” Highly recommended.

Gill’s hard work and craftsmanship, particularly his attention to detail, is very impressive. He designed, constructed and fitted a bathroom cabinet that perfectly fulfilled our needs. We’re delighted with the result.

Gill and Claire installed two cupboards and shelving which have transformed our living room. Fantastic service throughout, highly recommend.

From start to finish Gill and claire have been absolutely amazing, we are beyond pleased with our outstanding, bespoke bookcase unit and the attention to detail is faultless. Both Gill and claire are such a lovely couple, both working so hard, they left the house spotless, such a pleasure to work with, we cant wait to have you back for our next project. Thank you. Emma and Gareth.

We were very pleased with the fitted cabinet that Gill and Claire built for us. Beautiful piece, made to measure, and exactly what we wanted. Lovely people, worked round our chatty kids and excited dog, and left the place spotless. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love our built in cabinets, the quality is incredible and they look gorgeous, we’ve had so many compliments about them. Install of our two sets of alcove cabinets took three days and each day Gill and Claire were lovely, quiet as mice (I work from home) and very tidy. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.

GIll and Claire made and fitted our understairs storage area and it’s absolute perfection! Excellent quality of the materials from the solid oak front push front internal drawers, to the bespoke colour of the doors to match our farrow and ball colour of our walls. The precision of fitting is amazing, their response and communication is also excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Gill and Claire were delightful to work with and made really good improvements to my initial ideas. Some minor delays did creep in, but that is only a reflection of how much in demand they are and their refusal to take shortcuts .

We engaged with Gill and Claire in October 2024, to discuss a media cupboard incorporating a radiator cover. Due to our delay (flooring) we had our media cabinet fitted last week. It is beautiful. And more than we expected, the finish is remarkable. We are absolutely delighted with it. Gill and Claire have been exceptionally understanding and attentive throughout the whole process. We will be having them back in the future.

Flawless Faultless and exactly as requested, workmanship to the highest degree. Thank you and when I start my next project I will not hesitate to contact you.

Lovely oak cabinet and shelves either side of our chimney breast from Gill and Claire. Professional from start to finish!

One of the many definitions of Quality is the meeting of Customer requirements and exceeding their expectations. Well Gill Martinez certainly did that. The finished project is amazing. The owners are easy to do business with and their work is clean, tidy and efficient. What more could you ask. Top class.

I needed a cabinet to store all my photo gear, currently spread through drawers and boxes and help me keep it all tidy (and stop my wife telling me off for using the dining table as storage area between shoots). So I sent over some specifications and after a home consult we agreed on design and materials. The final cabinet is, simply, excellent work: great craftsmanship with top quality components - and the white American oak they recommended fits well with the other furniture in the room. When looking for a cabinet maker one of my key factors was someone who would use their experience to advise on the small details and they met that fully. With the bonus that they are great to meet and work with! Thank you so much.

We are over the moon with the fitted wardrobes Claire and Gill built and installed for us. Each stage: consulting, fitting and paying, was communicated clearly to us and our questions were answered promptly. The attention to detail and craftmanship is extremely impressive and we couldn't have asked for anymore. It was lovely to have you both in our home and thank you very much!

Absolutely first class from start to finish. Claire and Gill were great to work with, they provided quotes, drawings when they said they would. The quality of their work is excellent and they problem solved to overcome the issue of one of our leds being in the wrong place! Couldn’t recommend them more to be totally honest. And most important … they’re very dog friendly .

A 'simple set of shelves' we thought, but what we received was an incredible piece of furniture made to an extremely high quality. The whole process from design to build was seamless and Claire and Gill are a pleasure to work with.

Gill built fitted cupboards on both sides of our fireplace. We are very pleased with the quality and finish and would highly recommend his craftsmanship. Actually the cupboards were better than I imagined they would be.
