Frontispiece Ltd are able to frame most items. If we are not able to assist, we are pleased to recommend specialist framers in whom we have confidence. However, if you are looking to frame, posters, photographs, paintings, sports shirts, cross-stitch, medals, and much more, please give us a call. We also stretch canvases and frame oil paintings.
We only use kiln dried pine when stretching canvases. These will not 'dry out' and distort after you've hung them on your wall!
Frontispiece only use conservation quality mount-boards when framing your precious images. Ever looked at a mounted item and seen brown marks at the edge of the picture where it meets the mount? This is caused by acid in the mount-board and is avoidable at little extra cost. No need to request acid free mount-board, that's all we use.
Frontispiece Ltd can protect your art work with specialist glass which filters the harmful UV rays which bleach the colours in your photo or painting. However, many images are now produced using colour fast inks. If that is the case with your image, you should not need to go to the added expense of a UV filtering glass! Finally, we can also provide diffused glass, sometimes erroneously referred to as 'non-reflective glass, ' if you wish to reduce the reflection you see from the windows or lights in your home.

We went to Frontispiece to get some oil paintings and a watercolour framed. We had a very positive experience. Reg gave us helpful suggestions and advice and took time to talk through ideas. Frontispiece recently reglazed a valuable Secessionist poster within 24 hours and expertly mended minor damage to a decorative frame on an abstract expressionist painting. I then commissioned them to frame a large charcoal/watercolour painting on heavy weight grade paper that had been rolled up in a cardboard tube for several weeks and required expert 'flattening' before it could be 'float mounted' and framed. They happily spent considerable time helping me choose the shade of the mount colour and the frame that perfectly enhanced and complemented the colours of the original. I couldn't be more impressed with their services and unreservedly recommend Frontispiece for their mounting and framing services. 'Value for money' is too often equated with 'cheap'. Frontispiece offer unrivalled quality and the best value framing service you'll find anywhere.
