I started French classes with Corrine in March this year and I’m really enjoying them. The classes are well structured and fun. It’s a real benefit having a native French speaker as a teacher and it gives interesting insights into French culture.
I am a recent recruit to Corinne’s Level 2 French group, having joined in January 2024. Having not done any French for several years, I was rather nervous at first, but the small group of lovely people, as well as Corinne herself, were very welcoming and I was soon looking forward to every session. Having said that, Corinne does expect us to work hard and I am astounded when I look back at my notes and see what we have covered- I am definitely getting excellent value for money! It is also wonderful to have a native speaker as our teacher- Corinne is full of anecdotes and background information about life on France. I have already signed up for the next academic year and am thoroughly looking forward to it.
I've done French conversation with Corinne for two years …. They've become an essential but enjoyable part of weekly life. Also informative, since Corinne is Parisian, has family in France, and very familiar with current affairs there. Corinne is a very good teacher, bringing grammar discipline when needed but also emphasising the importance of free flowing conversation. She and her lessons are great.
I've studied with Corinne evenings and daytimes over the last five years and heartily recommend her and her courses. As well as the technical material, the insight into French life, customs and celebrations have been invaluable when spending extended time in France. We wouldn't have got that from a book or CDs!
Best French classes I have ever attended. Corinne covers current events, idioms, traditional grammar etc all in a fun way. Thoroughly recommended for all levels. Aug 2017- classes still as good is ever - French elections, recipes, grammar- FANTASTIC.
I joined Corinne's classes in September 2012, and have thoroughly enjoyed my first year. The classes are well structured and interesting, with plenty of opportunity to practise both written and spoken French. There is an element of grammar to each lesson, but Corinne makes learning fun, and it is never dull! I would not hesitate in recommending her French lessons.
I have been studying with Corinne for several years now and my confidence continues to grow under her careful guidance. Whilst each lesson is obviously well planned, she is always happy to work at the pace of the group and everyone is encouraged to participate fully. By using a combination of speaking, reading, writing and listening, our lessons are always varied and interesting. Corinne will ensure that everyone has a full understanding of a topic/grammar point before moving on to the next. Her ability, as a French native, to bring a true knowledge of everyday French life and culture is invaluable. I would have no hesitation in recommending her classes to anyone, from those at a beginners level to those who are more advanced.
I am a member of Corinne's Conversational French Group at West Cheshire College. Corinne designs discussion exercises for the group based on all aspectc of French life. Although the group is mainly conversational, Corinne also revises aspects of grammar with us, and helps us to develop our reading, pronunciation, and translation skills. Corinne is an excellent teacher. Her classes are always well structured, but flexible enough to allow conversation to develop; pleasantly informal, but always business-like.
I am a comparative new-comer and find Corinne's classes very well planned and structured, with no empty moments. They are varied and interesting, and cover many aspects of the French language and culture, modern and historical. She corrects homework punctually and clearly, and makes good use of the white board to illustrate points of vocabulary or grammar that arise in the class. Altogether a clear and imaginative teacher.
I have been learning French with Corrine for about four years. We are lucky enough to have a house in France and so my lessons have been an excellent way to improve my French and be able to talk to our neighbours and even manage to undulge in a bit of gossip! I am much more confident with the dreaded French verbs. Corrine is firm but fair, we discuss all aspects of French life and the lessons are always very interesting and lively. The lessons also give me the chance to talk French in England which for me is great.
I am in my 2nd year with Corinne. She is a skilled teacher. As a retired teacher myself I notice that she is keen on variety and pace in the 2 hr lessons so we stay focussed. I also notice that attendance rates are high which is a strong indication of a successful class. I have massively improved my spoken French under Corinne's expert tuition. I was quite relaxed on holiday this year, able to chat with French people much more easily than ever before.
I have been in Corinne's class for several years. She prepares her lessons well, is entertaining and paces her students according to ability. She uses French culture to very good effect, through music, film, literature and discussion. In short, she is a very experienced and high quality teacher. John, Chester.
