Flyte so Fancy is an independent, family run business in the heart of rural Dorset, manufacturing timber garden stores and animal houses, specialising in poultry and chicken keeping.

What started as a hobby, building bird boxes and chicken coops for locals, after 20 years has grown into the largest manufacturer of wooden poultry houses, delivering across the UK.

All Flyte so Fancy products are handmade by our inhouse team of craftsmen, in our workshop in Dorset. Sourcing from one mill, our FSC certified timber is pressure treated Scandinavian redwood with a planed finish.

Utilising our spacious corner of the Dorset countryside to its fullest, we dry all of our timber on site for a minimum of 28 days before use, with additional weather treatment and protection applied through the manufacturing process. This helps to ensure the best quality product is delivered to you, designed and built to last for up to 15+ years.

With over 50 years of Chicken keeping experience between them, directors Phill and Anne have combined their collective knowledge into our website and now a popular Youtube series. Now regarded as an authority on poultry keeping matters, this expertise allows for the best design of housing, from the people who know how best to care for these animals.
