Flute School London has normally run an exciting and inspirational non-residential 3-day flute course for players of all standards and ages. Past guest tutors have included Michael Cox, William Bennett, Robert Winn, Juliette Bausor, Rachel Brown, Wissam Boustany, Mike Mower, Jennifer Hutchinson, Ian Mullin, Andy Findon and Alexander Murray as well as Directors and resident tutors Janna Hüneke, Abigail Burrows, Simon Gilliver, Sarah Desbuslais and Holly Cook. These will return! But for now we are holding single Flute Days at various locations.

In April 2022 we are also co-hosting the eflutefest again, this time an online and in-person flute festival. Plus there is our residential course in the gorgeous Lot Valley in France in late April.

A bit of history: In January 2009 Janna Hüneke and Kate Grace set up the Flute Ensemble of London, an adult flute choir for advanced-level adult students. From this came the idea of a specialist flute course for flautists of all ages and levels in London. It will be held a venue in central London.

Each year courses has been a huge success attracting up to 60 people each time.

Flute Day course content can include master classes, chamber music, improvisation, technique sessions, informal performances and more.

London needs a course of this kind, because although there are lots of good flute courses in the UK, they are held over the summer and also out of London. The course is non-residential, which keeps the costs down.
