Their advertising is misleading. It states that 'if your boiler becomes beyond economical repair, First Call will replace your boiler free of charge' We were informed that it wasn't economically viable to fix our boiler following a visit by one of their engineers. We were expecting a nice new boiler, however we were presented with a £2000 estimate and told replacements were only free within 3 years of signing the contract with them. We are now left with a boiler they won't repair or replace!
Response : At First Call we do not mislead any customers. Replacing a boiler is always a last resort and we do everything we can to ensure a boiler is repaired. When a boiler is beyond economical repair we do offer a discounted quotation to Premier Care Plan customers. Details of our terms and conditions are given at the time of signing up to the Premier Care Plan. Each customer reads and signs the contract and are then left a copy on site. We service, repair and install boilers for thousands of customers every year.
Most of which are extremely happy with our work.I would encourage any customer who has any issues to contact us at their earliest time possible. We make our customer service our number one priority. In this circumstance we actually quoted Mr Taylor £1620 for a replacement boiler and have since spoke at great lengths about his situation and the misunderstanding of our terms and conditions. He has since confirmed to remain as a Premier Care Plan customer until he decides to replace his boiler.Moreexpand_more
