I am an English teacher with over 20 years teaching experience in both grammar and comprehensive schools. I am able to offer English G. C. S. E and A' Level tuition. Added to which I have a great deal of experience preparing pupils for the Kent Test.

I have equally enjoyed teaching both gifted and talented pupils but am also able to teach less able candidates. As an examiner I feel that I am able to give my students valuable insight and specific tutoring.

I have high expectations for my pupils and use praise and humour to get the best out of them.

I am able to travel to pupil's homes but if more convenient students can come to me. I travel throughout south east Kent.

As well as teaching candidates for exams I am also able to undertake more general English teaching including grammar, spelling, punctuation, writing and comprehension. These skills can be improved in years 7,8,9 to prepare the student for GCSEs.

Fiona is a gifted teacher. She helped both my sons through the Kent test with great success. She was patient, kind and very thorough.
