Welcome to Feathersteps School Of Dance!
We provide Ballroom and Latin Dance classes, plus tuition in many other dance styles such as Salsa, Argentine Tango, Bachata and Charleston, at various venues across Yorkshire. Feathersteps also specialises in tailored Wedding Dance Lessons, Dance Parties, Team Building Sessions and Dance Workshops for Clubs and Schools.
Group classes are designed to suit every ability, be it complete beginner or veteran dancer, so there really is something for all! We pride ourselves in our fun and relaxed class atmospheres, meaning everyone feels welcome!
If group lessons are not for you, Private Dance lessons at a venue of your choice may be the way forward. These are excellent for learning quickly, to catch up on missed lessons or would make a perfect gift for your friends and family.
Each class is taught by experienced dancer of over 20 years and IDTA Qualified Teacher Sophie Brooke. With a wealth of competitive dance experience, theatrical performance and exam work, you can be sure that the tuition Sophie provides is up to standard and up to date with IDTA syllabuses.
Classes are "Pay As You Dance", meaning you pay each time you attend a session. We do not believe in contracts and term times, which allows for maximum flexibility to fit around your busy lives.

Sophie teaches a wide range of dance styles of Latin and ballroom (all the ones you will see on Strictly! ), and has many classes throughout the area on different nights so your classes are very flexible if you need to do a different night. It's all pay as you go, so you know you aren't signing up for a long and costly course. Nice to have a fully qualified and experienced teacher who can teach from absolute beginners though to examination standards.
