I have been using David's sticks for twenty years and having lost a stick decided to order a new pair. David immediately contacted me to say he was low on stock but gave timescales as to when more would be available. I then let him know the weight of the pair I was using and he replied almost instantly that he would get me a pair as close to them as possible. My new sticks arrived on time and identical to my old pair. David's sticks are of the highest quality and his customer service is second to none.

Soon after I ordered a pair of pipe band sticks I got an e mail from David to say they were out of stock but a new delivery was due in 2 days, a Wednesday. I got them on Thursday morning! The sticks are well balanced, beautifully made and a joy to use. David provides a very good, personal service and keeps his promises. The value is also excellent. What more can you ask? It's always worth supporting the smaller companies as they do things better than the big ones.

Ordered standard practice pad, rudiments book and CD from David on Friday, David emailed me with estimate of dispatch and the package arrived on Monday, i. E. Two days later, thoughtfully packaged and in perfect condition. The book is nicely laid out with an index corresponding to the tracks on the CD. Easy to follow. Really happy with the service and products, highly recommended.

I apologise in advance if I make any grammatical mistakes on my review as English isn't my first language. It was last year when I ordered a practice pad and drum sticks for my son who joined in a school band to play snare drum. He just started the secondary school then. He brought them to school so that an older boy who was the best drummer in the band could have a look at them. My son was very pleased to hear that he's got the best brand equipment! He passed his assessment before summer holiday this year and played snare drum in the band at school parade for the first time to lead the whole school students last month. My son is very happy with the products as they are very good quality. He's been practicing every day and night and they are still in good condition. Recently I ordered anther set of drum sticks for him. Nothing wrong with the first one, he just wanted new one to play in the parade and old one for practice. Although out of stock, and although they were busy making other items first, they made a set of standard weight tenor drum sticks and posted them to me in 3 days, which was less time than they quoted (a week). Ordered the snare drum tutor book and CD. There was an issue with the order at Davids end which meant the item did not arrive. However, once I contacted David he quickly resolved the issue and sent me a free set of sticks for my inconvenience. I cannot praise David enough for his customer service. I will certainly be doing business with him again.

I bought the Snare Drum Rudiments and Pipe Band Drum Scores tuition book which, to my amazement, arrived the following day. That's some service! The drum scores in the book itself are clear and understandable, and the accompanying CD contains very good sound samples of the described techniques. This book and CD is well worth the money and a must for anyone wanting to learn the rudments of drumming.

I first went to David for lessons around 1992 and have been a student on and off with him for 20 years, studying all aspects of drumming from rock to Jazz And latin to funk. And in the last year I have started tuition in pipe band drumming, I think this shows just how versatile a tutor he is, and you only have to look at what he has achieved over the years to appreciate the vast experience that he has, I also use David's pipe band sticks, practice pads and book of Rudiments which comes with a helpfull cd, all of which are of excellant quality and at an affordable price. I would recommend David for anyone who would like to learn or further their knowledge in the instrument.

I've been receiving drum tuition from Mr Farquhar for over a year now and it has been great. The system which he has developed is very effective and is designed to advance your drumming skills in different areas. While being tutored I sat my Grade 4 Rock School exam in which I passed with a Distinction grade. I have also purchased and used on of his own hand-made practice pads and they are excellent. Highly recommend him for tuition and drumming products.

Woaw! The communication, service and products are great here! + a great value for money! Michael Skinner recommended me David’s practice standard rubber pad and book a few years ago. Now I only use this practice pad - I even recommend it to my students and they appreciate it as much as I do.
