Exeter Chimney Sweeps

Tom identified serious problems in both chimneys of a house that we had recently purchased, and, as well as cleaning out a considerable accumulation of tar, assisted with the installation of a new liner. He worked extremely hard and efficiently, was polite and friendly, and his fee was very reasonable given the amount of work involved. No hesitation in recommending him.

Tom carried out a full clean of our stove and chimney and left everything looking like new. He advised on potential improvements to the cowl to reduce down-draughts and the condition of the some of the fire bricks - excellent value for money.

Sweep arrived early and phoned ahead as well. Chimney was checked for deposits as requested and thoroughly cleaned. Everything was hoovered and clean after the sweep was finished.

Tom did a great job, speedy and fuss-free. I was impressed with his level of technology. When you have a sweep with a video camera on his brushes, you can see exactly how clean he's left your flues. We were delighted to find him because he has a type of brush that can reach into the flue above an Aga using the access hatch that's built into the back of the Aga. Most sweeps require a purpose-built access hatch cut into the flue pipe, which we don't have.

Excellent service one of the two chimneys was in a dreadful state and produced massea of soot and clinker. Tom took three and a half hours on our two chimneys (one of which had a Woodwarm stove). Am completely satisfied and will recommend ECSweeps to others.
