Essex Wedding DJs are based in Basildon but due to the large number of dedicated DJs working for this Company they are able to provide mobile discos to the whole of Essex, including clubs and restaurants, schools and private functions. Although the majority of the mobile discos that are booked are for wedding DJs this Company also caters for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Karaoke and Children's parties with games and prizes if required. They only employ staff that have a vast experience of mobile disco entertainment to ensure that a successful evening is enjoyed by everyone. All of the DJs carry Public Liability Insurance along with a current PAT test certificate. This is very important as more and more venues now insist upon these being held. All mobile discos come with excellent disco lighting and quality sound system.
The company is managed by Garry Hartgrove who has been working in the mobile disco business for many years. Having previously worked in a self employed career and running a business as a sole trader Garry is adequately trained to oversee the company. He gives 100% commitment and will go the extra mile to make sure your Essex party is a great success.
All bookings are confirmed in writing and the Company will keep in contact with the client prior to the event. Whether by phone or email Garry will endevour to return your enquiry the same day. Prices for the mobile disco will vary depending on location and duration of the disco but Essex wedding DJs are very competitive with their prices and still manage to provide a quality mobile dj for your event.
Bookings are best made well in advance as Essex Wedding DJs are very busy throughout the year. A small deposit is required to secure the mobile disco for your selected date.

We used Essex Wedding DJs to celebrate our 2nd Wedding anniversary, and we were delighted with the service. Garry, the DJ supplied, was punctual and very professional. He kept the music flowing and catered for all tastes, which, given the age range at our party was quite a task. We told him to keep the dancing going so he used his experience to make sure we had a night to remember. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone we know.

We had Garry DJ our anniversary and from beginning to end he was fab! Easy booking process and professional throughout. We gave him a few special songs and he filled the night perfectly. Everyone commented on how good the evening was. Very happy and would recommend.

I gave Gary a list of songs I wanted for my wedding and highlighted the fact that we wanted soul and motown music. We had to keep going up to him and telling him not to play the sort of music he was playing such as let's twist again, shout, ect ect. It was very stressful. I gave him hundreds of songs to play so why he took it of his own back to play the wrong sort of music I just do not understand. He never spoke once and was not very smart either. A big disappointment.
Response : I appreciate you taking the time to write this review but have to say I am extremely disappointed and surprised by your comments. Firstly the 60s music (my choices) produced the most people on the dance floor which is the whole point of a disco. I also remember having around 15 dancing to a 70s set and was asked by the groom to play a certain song next (can't remember which one) and subsequently lost all but 3 of the dancers. Having tried some of the songs on your list (which just did not get people up and dancing) I decided to add some tried and tested floor fillers which did make for more dancers. For others reading this review the songs on the list included: I love you because (Jim Reeves), All in the game (4 tops), For the good times (Kenny Rogers), If only for 1 night (Vandross), Funky Town (Lipps Inc), Mary Mary (Shackles), One nation under a groove (Funkadelic), Let her go (Passenger), Show me love (only 3 danced), All about that bass (around 5 dancers), The look of love (Dusty Springfield), Turned on to you (Eighties lady), Rising to the top (Kenny Burke), Put yourself in my place (Stylistics), Trumpets (Derulo),.At the end of the evening the 60s music proved to be the most popular decade producing the most dancers, which is why I did it. The song list provided was just not producing enough dancers and this is always the danger of a pre-written list. Secondly, "he never spoke once" ? In fact I used the mic many times, and encouraged guests to ask for requests, which a few did. Thirdly "not very smart either" ? I wore a long sleeve shirt, black trousers, clean shaven, so other than wear a suit not sure how this can be improved. Once again I am very surprised by this review, the first one of its kind in 18 years of attending discos / weddings.Moreexpand_more

We hired Garry from Essex Wedding DJs and we couldn't have asked for a better service. Prior to the day we requested a number of songs to be played and Garry was happy to play all of these. We also had an obscure first dance song which he had no problem finding. We were able to have a laugh with him and any requests we had during the evening he played as the following song. Would happily recommend their services to anyone wishing to hire them.

I needed a DJ at very short notice, Essex Wedding DJ's came up trumps. Communication was great, price was good, equipment was brilliant. Our DJ was Brett.
