Terrible! Engineer serviced the boiler and I took the front panel off to see all was OK inside and that there were no leaks. There was a sizable leak on the bottom inside panel so I investigated where it came from and saw the leak was coming from the sump spigot and 90 degree hose that connects to the siphon. The had not assembled this hose properly. I had to take it off and saw that he had broken the spigot and a the piece had wedged inside the hose. I spoke to the MD and he had the audacity to say that the part was faulty and had corroded (its plastic). He also commented that it's a "known fact" that this is a weak point on the sump and that it becomes brittle over time and breaks. He said that they would have to charge for the part and fitting which infuriated me. What really annoyed me is the MD "evaluating" the issue over the phone and putting the onus on the component being faulty without even visiting my house. He simply did not want to cough up. Shambolic and will never use again. In response to your below message Mr A.R :1. Plastic does not corrode but metal does.2. You worked here….But do not have a good reputation from what I have been told. Untrustworthy was the word used when I mentioned your name.3. I can write wherever I like & I did say that I would do this but you sound surprised that I do this? Trying to remove posts to make your business appear better that it is is deceiving your customers. Maybe you should have listened to me first instead of just dismissing me over the phone. I will continue to post what I like whenever I like to do it.4. If you were as experienced as you claim to be then you should have investigated the issue personally & not just dismiss me. I have spoken to various engineers on site & your "over the phone" diagnosis does not stack up…never heared of this issue ever before unless dropped/improperly manhandled. Do your homework first, I did.5. You have to take criticism when you are at fault…something you are unable to do.I rest my case.Moreexpand_more
Response : Https://youtu. Be/eVMQ9q-r3Vk Trying to blame us for a fault that you should know about working for IDEAL BOILERS and slating us over every website possible just shows to me your lack of knowledge within your company. I suggest you spend less time on social media and more time understanding the products and faults within the company you work for to help YOU to be as successful as I was when I worked there.
