About Elpis Christian Ministries

Elpis Christian Ministries is a vibrant, multicultural church in Ilford, East London, meeting at 8 Oaks Lane. Led by Pastors Victor and Lydia Darteh, we are a welcoming family where everyone belongs and an atmosphere of love and acceptance is championed. Join us for Sunday worship at 11am, our Friday in-person prayer gathering, and midweek online teaching. Whether you are exploring faith, new to the area, or looking for a church home in Newbury Park, Gants Hill, Seven Kings or the wider Redbridge borough, you are warmly invited. Our vision, Making the Name of the Lord Great (Malachi 1:11), shapes all we do. Everyone is welcome.

Our Sunday services bring together heartfelt worship, prayer and practical Bible teaching, with a genuine welcome for anyone visiting for the first time. A dedicated children's ministry and Sunday school run alongside the 11am service, so parents can relax knowing children of all ages are well cared for. Getting to us is straightforward: there is free on-site parking as well as free street parking on Oaks Lane, and we are only a short walk from Newbury Park station on the Central line.

Beyond Sunday, Elpis Christian Ministries is an active part of the community across the London Borough of Redbridge, including Ilford, Newbury Park, Gants Hill and Seven Kings. We meet on Friday evenings for in-person prayer, and hold midweek teaching sessions online so members can keep growing in their faith throughout the week. As a registered charity, our guiding vision is to make the name of the Lord great, drawn from Malachi chapter one, and this shapes everything from pastoral care to community outreach.
