I asked to leave a review because I have found it very hard to find a reliable, affordable and quality assured electrician in Edinburgh. I came across EICR Edinburgh when getting certificates for my flat rental. Mark and Aaron came and were super efficient and thorough on the day of testing all my electrical equipment, followed by a very prompt and informative quote. Mark was super at providing advice and I trusted his expert opinion in decisions to be made which I can't fault. I have now had the work done and I couldn't recommend them enough for their hard work and craftsmanship. It puts my mind at ease knowing my home is now electrically sound again and done properly.

Can't praise them enough. I've called them a few times and always get a reply very quickly. The standard they work to is very high and they're all very friendly. They were recommended to me initially and I won't use anyone else now.

Mark and his team were round to do a full re-wire in an old property after identifying a lot of issues on a safety check. The work was carried out to a high standard, communication was great throughout and they were a pleasure to deal with always happy to address any issues I may have had. I was given a glowing recommendation from my next door neighbour after she had an upgrade to her electrics from EICR Edinburgh. I contacted the manager, Mark to discuss a similar job at my flat and his colleague Aaron arranged a visit to check out what required to be done for an electrical refit. Mark, Aaron, and two young electricians were booked to come last Monday, arriving absolutely on time. As this was a full day's job, (with the electricity turned off - obviously! ), I was advised to leave the flat so that they had the space to get on with the work. Returning later in the afternoon, what a transformation - a safe, modern new fuse box, extra sockets, bathroom and kitchen spotlights and smoke alarms etc. The friendly, helpful team carried out such a professional, efficient, quick and clean job - it was all such an easy process, from first contact, receiving a prompt estimate and invoice, organising the date through to the completion of the work. I personally give a five star rating for EICR Edinburgh.

I'm really happy with the services provided by Mark and his team. EICR did our landlord checks on our new rental property. Any upgrades that were necessary for compliance were explained thoroughly beforehand, installed promptly, and the standard of installation was excellent. Fast forward one and a half years, I had a (tenant induced) electrical fault and EICR responded and rectified it the next morning. As a landlord that doesn't currently live in the city, it's really comforting to have a trustworthy and reliable company available for any electrical work needing done on the property. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Mark and co have carried out two rewires for me, and a variety of works for friends and family members. All of which has been carried out to a high standard with excellent professionalism and communication. EICR do cost a little more than some, but because of the quality of work, and of materials used, I have no problem giving 5/5 for value.

Mark and Aaron and their team did a full rewire of my flat over the summer. Their communication throughout the project was excellent and they kept me informed of the process as they were carrying out the work. They were trustworthy and reliable and completed the job to a high standard. I found them to be particularly professional as the job neared completion as they made sure that it was completed to a high standard and that I was totally satisfied with the finished job. Their attention to detail was excellent. I would definitely recommend them to carry out electrical work to a property.

We used EICR recently for a house re-wire, after an internet search for a local electrician to undertaken some Landlord wiring tests. We found them to be excellent and responsive both with ourselves and the tenant. They worked with us to make sure everyone was clear and happy with what was required. The need for the work was highlighted just prior to Lockdown but Mark was flexible and worked with us to fit in the works as restrictions started to ease. Their work was very neat, tidy and good standard. They clearly thought about what was required and gave us some good suggestions of things to improve the existing installation. We would be very happy to use them again and would definitely recommend them to others.

I fully recommend Mark and his team. I have had all the landlord checks done at once, a new fuse box installed and all the electrical installation of the flat checked and fixed (it was a complete mess and needed a good repair). The result is very satisfactory, the finish is very neat and it looks great. Communication was great and quick, everything was explained to detail. Very happy with the experience, I definitely will call him again if something else needs to be done.

Without doubt Mark and the guys are Edinburgh's Premier Electricians. These guys came late on a Friday afternoon when they should have been finished to ensure that an old man of 98 wasn't left with no upstairs lighting overnight. Without a doubt, the best electricians I have ever had in doing work in my tenement flat. Mark and his team are real professionals and safety and good workmanship are paramount for them. EICR Edinburgh did everything I needed to rent out my flat for the first time from the initial EICR, PAT, legionella, smoke, heat and CO alarms right through to a new fuse box/board and consumer unit They also did an absolutely fantastic job of replacing the old light switches and sockets throughout the flat with new durable ones and installed brilliant LED lighting in my kitchen and bathroom bringing more light to these two small spaces. They did all the remedial work necessary for the EICR on one day with a brilliant team of electricians who arrived on time and were wonderful to deal with and left the place spotless. The price for the job was really competitive as well. With Mark and his team, you really know that you and your tenants are in safe hands. They are absolutely brilliant for landlords, businesses and individual residential work. Thanks again Mark for delivering a 5 star service!

Professional service with attention to detail. Both Mark and Aaron delivered an excellent job wiring the flat with ethernet cables, replacing ceiling lights and new main switch unit. Highly recommend them for EICR certificates, re-wiring or any other electrical and network installations.
