Edwards Genesis

We used Edward Genesis for our Home Buyers report as first time buyers buying our firs property. From the beginning of us enquiring for a quote and receiving our report the team were so quick to get back to us during the whole process which included having to reschedule our inspection and they liaised with the estate agent for us to arrange this. The report is long and could seem quite confusing but form receiving a sample report beforehand we knew what to expect and the final report was easy to understand and follow. Payment is so simple via a bank transfer. I would recommend Edwards Genesis to anyone considering having a surveyor report completed.

I enquired recently about some concerns and if they provided the service I required. John phoned my straight away and although they were not in a position to help with the type of survey I required, he chatted to me for about 20 minutes and discussed my concerns, gave advice and referred me on to someone that could possibly help. The Edwards Genesis team were excellent with their communication, organisation and most importantly, a detailed survey report. I spoke with John beforehand (who conducted the survey). He was happy to discuss the different survey options and queries regarding areas of concern for the property. The survey provided fantastic research, insight, and explanation regarding the potential current and long-term maintenance.

Really pleased with the quality of service and communication. We engaged them for a L3 building survey and then retrospective valuation. Both were carried out promptly and to a high standard. All questions fully answered and a great value for money. If I move again I'll be using Edwards Genesis.

Commissioned a RICS Level 3 survey including valuation for an old property we were purchasing. Professional, responsive, and impressive from quotation to report delivery. I did not go with the lowest quotation, but was impressed by previous reviews and this surveyor’s extensive knowledge and experience of the local area, and long established surveying career. Cannot fault the prompt electronic delivery of the report and associated photographs. The report itself is comprehensive, well structured and written and provides an excellent basis on which to proceed with a property purchase, and to plan short, medium and long term renovation and improvements.

We searched the best surveyors within the Bolton area for a house me and my partner are purchasing, and Edward Genisis came up so we decided to go with them. Im so glad we did! The services in regards to contact and the survey itself was fantastic. I felt in trying times financially for a lot of people this company wasn't just after the payment but took the most pride on the service ,even suggesting we get a level 2 rather than 3 for the house we were purchasing. After reading the whole survey I was pleasantly surprised for it to be revealed that the house in question had actually already been surveyed by the same company and individual surveyor. This was a massive asset as it allowed us an even more in depth view of the property as change's and improvements since the last survey were identified and noted. The speed at which the survey was processed was great and we got it sent to us just two days after the physical survey was completed. Brilliant company and couldn't recommend more. 10/10! I'm a first time buyer that required a level 3 survey and what can I say. The entire process was seamless. Instructed. Date agreed with vendor and job done. The report was comprehensive but clear and concise. Any issues were clearly explained and in my opinion a very balanced view was given regarding the potential risks if not addressed. Clear recommendations listed included those required prior to purchase then listed from short to long term work required which was helpful. Report received under the 7-10day time frame which was an added bonus. Pictures were helpful to reference back to including clear pictures of the roof! We are in the process of buying a house in a former coal mining area and wanted to be sure that the building was safe. We commissioned a report from Edwards Genesis and it arrived a few days after the inspection. It was very thorough and alerted us to matters needing urgent attention as well as other issues to be considered over time. There were various appendices which supported the report and to which we will be able to refer as we settle in to the new property.

I wholeheartedly recommend Edwards Genesis if in need of a surveyor for a property purchase. John (the surveyor) produced a very thorough, detailed level 2 analysis of the property in question, highlighting issues that would have gone unnoticed otherwise. I was afforded a very professional, expedient service, felt well informed at all times and was made to feel very welcome and accomodated for any follow up questions I had. Cannot recommend this firm enough!

I was very impressed with the quality and content of the Level 2 HBR report on the property I am buying. John was very clear and precise in setting out details regarding the property that was so easy to understand. The report was received very quickly after John had been to carry out the survey.
