Flowers purchased 31st JanDelivered (200 Mtrs from shop)3rd Feb Cost £45This is quite a large and well presented shop and the glossy catalogue of available flowers looked most promising and we selected "a sheaf of spring flowers"On the day of our dear sisterinlaws funeral came the dissapointment and anger. The flowers looked like not much more than a small bunch of weeds with raw stems hanging out tied together with rafia. At a time of year when daffodils etc can be purchased for £1 pound a bunch this seemed like pure proffiteering YoursG. J. Wivell (MR).

I've used Edith Wilmots quite a few times over the years and I've always found them to be very professional, polite and helpful and the flowers have been really very good indeed. They have a first rate reputation in the Bristol area earned over many years and I'd thoroughly recommend them.

We rang up and placed an order over the phone for the value of £25. For this amount you can normally expect a lovely bouquet. We however were extremely disappointed! I left the shop feeling quite upset and said to my friend I am not happy with this and he felt the same! We then showed 2 of our work colleagues to which they all agreed! So 2 colleagues returned to the shop stating the reasons for their disappointment and we received a new bouquet, but the customer service was awful from the lady in the shop! She was not happy, but we are the customer and we are entitled to our opinion! We will not be returning to the shop.
Response : Dear Stacey, Thank you for your review. However, I am somewhat surprised at your criticism. I remember you coming to the shop to collect the flowers. As you left, I sensed that you were not happy with the flowers, though as you did not say anything, I thought perhaps I had mis-read you. When the young man your colleague came back with them, I was unsurprised, but happy - better to have a satisfied customer who leaves the shop, than have them tying themselves in knots if disappointed. Whilst your colleague was waiting for the florist, (to make you a new bouquet), took the time to show him the varying size difference of bouquets available for the same money, hoping to see if any was more to taste, to which he responded ‘I’m just the messenger’. We have a ‘no quibble’ guarantee - if you are unhappy with anything that comes from our shop, so of course we made a new bouquet for you and hope that it was more of what you were looking for. My apologies if my florist seemed unhappy. I suspect anyone would be unhappy if someone had said they were upset by their work. I would also reason that we have listened to your opinion you were unhappy you told us we replaced to your satisfactionIf there is anything else I can do to help the situation between us, please let me know.Yours truly,AlexEdith Wilmot Florist.Moreexpand_more

I ordered flowers for a wedding, they did'nt last the day out,We noticed half way through the evening, that the roses started to go black around the edges, and looked very sad, very disapointed.
Response : Mrs Bainbridge, I am sad that the flowers did not live up to your expectations. Without knowing more, it is difficult to comment effectively, however:Assuming that you had cut flowers for the bride, any flowers left out of water for several hours will droop. Did you have white roses or lillies? You have to be very careful with white as it bruises easily - this is not immeadiately apparent as it takes a few hours for the brown to come through. Other roses bruise also, but the brown bruise will show up alot against the white. If you would like to talk more, I would like to understand what went wrong. If it was a case of not telling you how flowers are, then I shall need to change my proceedure at my Wedding Consultations and I would appreciate your comments. You can phone me on 0117 950 8589 or email. Or we can continue through this review link.Yours sincerelyAlexEdith Wilmot Florist.Moreexpand_more
