Alan did a good job on the driveway but what I didn’t like was 1) constant rearrangement of appointment times, often at very short notice – this was blamed on the weather; 2) flooding my kitchen with water and sludge – this was blamed on a defective back door seal. He apologised but no discount was offered for the considerable time I had to spend clearing it up; 3) being sent a text threatening legal action on non-payment of the bill, less than a week after he’d sent the invoice. Alan is very knowledgeable about the services he provides but could improve on his customer service skills.
Response : Hi Emma. All I can say is the work was carried out completely within our terms and conditions. Yes, the weather did delay the job - unfortunately these things do happen. Our payment terms are on completion of power washing yet we still had no payment almost 2 weeks after and had you had a cover on your letterbox (on the back door) the water ingress would have been minimal as the door was already extremely poorly fitted and also the threshold height for building regulations for finished floor level is 150mm - yours does not conform to this so possibly I would not be throwing stones in a glass house.
We do our best but if you have an open aperture in a sub standard door then with the best will in the world - it will leak. As they say ‘there’s always one’ in this case that appears to be you.Moreexpand_more
